My first post of 2026 🫠 I haven’t really read much recently so haven’t had much to post, but I’m looking forward to getting back in to reading & writing this year and hopefully posting a lot more ✨ I’m currently reading The Housemaid (Does anyone else need to read the book before watching the movie!?) I’m loving it so far will post a review once I’ve finished. (oh if any of you are on Goodreads add me Laurakatewrites have a link in my bio! Would love to see your book reviews πŸ’•) My boyfriend bought me the set of Twilight books for Christmas after we had a Twilight marathon. I did read them when I was younger and I actually loved them (I won’t stand for any Twilight slander). I was obsessed with the movies & was definitely a team Jacob girly πŸ˜‚ So I’m looking forward to reading them again for the nostalgia. Haven’t read Midnight sun or The short life of Bree Tanner either. Also how cute are these bookmarks from Etsy! Spicy Marg & had to get a Twilight themed one for my rereads 🀌🏼 @dollysdoodlesuk Anyhoo! How is everyone’s January going so far?and what are you reading & loving? πŸ“š xxx #books #book #bookstagrammer #bookworm #twilight by @laurakatewrites

Its Timeeeeeeeee πŸŽ„πŸŒŸβœ¨οΈ This took me almost 2 days of Christmas decorating. My back has gone but it was worth it ha! πŸ₯Ή Back soon with some book updates & reviews πŸ₯° by @laurakatewrites
August Book Reviews πŸ“š The Summer I turned pretty - Jenny Han It's a really simple, quick read. Definitely aimed more towards teens. But I had to see what all the fuss was about after the series. If i was 13 I probably would have loved it! Seven Summers - Paige Toon I love Paige Toons writing. Her books are my favourite and always entertaining and I end up reading them quite quickly. But Seven Summers i read little bits but it didnt keep me hooked enough to keep reading, so it did take me a few weeks to finish. I think I didnt quite connect with any of the main characters. Story of my Life - Lucy Score Witty & funny. Kind of a Gilmore Girls, small town, Lorelai & Luke vibes. Quite predictable though and mostly overdone tropes. Fourth Wing - Rebecca Yarros Didnt finish! I love the writing style & the first chapter does really throw you straight in to the action. But i didnt end up reaching for it again. I am going to add it to my September TBR though to finish. #booksta #bookinstagrammer #booksbooksbooks #bookaholic #bookworm #bookish #booklover #booktok #books #booknerd #booklove #writerlife #writer #authorlife #writers #writersofinstagram #writingcommunity #creativewriting #write #writing #romancebooks #romancebookstagram #bookreviews #fourthwing #sevensummers #storyofmylife #tsitp #thesummeriturnedpretty by @laurakatewrites
Sundays are for reading β‚ŠΛšβŠΉα‘£π©γ€€ Does anyone else alternate between 3 or 4 books at a time depending on your mood? πŸ₯Ή Currently loving @scorelucy Story of my life & @paigetoonauthor Seven Summers 🐚 at the minute. I am still reading Fourth Wing, but I feel like im losing a bit of interest because im such a romance girl at heart. Also this Moondust tea from @teapsy_official is lush ︡ᑣ𐭩 #booksta #bookinstagrammer #booksbooksbooks #bookaholic #bookworm #bookish #booklover #booktok #books #booknerd #booklove #writerlife #writer #authorlife #writers #writersofinstagram #writingcommunity #creativewriting #write #writing #romancebooks #romancebookstagram by @laurakatewrites

My toxic trait is buying books because they have pink covers πŸ’“β˜ΊοΈβœ¨οΈ But how cute is 'Summer in the city' by Alex Aster. Meet the reader/writer πŸ“šβœοΈπŸ»βœ¨οΈ Im Laura πŸ’˜ Im a Gemini β™ŠοΈ I live close to Manchester πŸ“ I have 2 chihuahuas Coco & Margot 🐾☺️ I made this account because I love to read, but also i am currently writing my first romance novel. I had the idea for my story years ago and until recently it has just stayed in the notes of my phone as rough ideas and random thoughts πŸ’‘ I have 11 chapters of a first draft completed and my dream is to hopefully someday have my book published 🀞🏻 I would love to share my writing journey with you & hopefully get some support & advice along the way. Im not looking for masses of followers & likes. Just genuine connections with people who love books as much as I do πŸ’˜πŸ“–βœ¨οΈ #booksta #bookinstagrammer #booksbooksbooks #bookaholic #bookworm #bookish #booklover #booktok #books #booknerd #booklove #writerlife #writer #authorlife #writers #writersofinstagram #writingcommunity #creativewriting by @laurakatewrites
