Not my usual kind of post, but after seeing so many comments about the Thunderbird Mall closing on my story, I knew I had to make a reel about it. 🥹❤️ This one’s for the locals. For so many of us who grew up in the area, this mall was a big part of our childhood. From shopping at our favorite stores to wandering the halls with friends and family, there are so many memories tied to this place.

It’s sad to see another piece of our childhood become just a memory. Truly the end of an era. Thunderbird Mall, you will be missed. ❤️

Where was your favorite place to stop at the mall back in the day? 🛍️ by @lauramngirl

Disclaimer: Winter is my favorite, but I'm not ready for it to be dark by 4 PM.☀️🍂 by @lauramngirl

A private sauna, Lake Superior views, and miles of trails right outside your door? This is my kind of North Shore getaway. I recently stayed at Pincushion Mountain Haus, just five minutes from downtown Grand Marais, and there’s so much to love about this place.✨🍂

With four upstairs bedrooms plus extra sleeping space in the downstairs game room, it sleeps up to 12, perfect for a getaway with family or friends. There’s a spacious kitchen for cooking together, a deck overlooking Lake Superior, and a fire pit for ending the day around the fire.

You also have direct access to 25 kilometers of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing. Spend the day exploring, then come back and warm up in the private indoor sauna. ❄️And here’s a reason to stay a little longer: stay three nights and get your fourth night free, now through April!

Save this for your next North Shore getaway and send it to the people you’d bring along.

October has been a whirlwind between two weeks of travel and being sick the last three days. Ready for a slower month as the temps drop and we settle into cozy hygge season 🕯️🍂✨ by @lauramngirl

Some mornings are worth setting that alarm for. ❤️🌅

Watching the sun rise over Lake Superior, painting the sky in beautiful colors, is one of those simple moments that never gets old.

Minnesota, you sure are beautiful 🥹
