I’ve been meaning to post these photos for weeks… and maybe part of the reason I haven’t is that every time I start thinking about what I want to say, I am a basket of joyful tears. ❤️

At the end of August, we spent the most extraordinary weekend in Vermont celebrating Sam and Stephanie and their engagement.

It was nice having family together sharing beautiful dinners under the stars, an unforgettable evening having dinner surrounded by the Rich’s artwork and hours of kayaking, laughter, stories and dancing.

Steph, I couldn’t be happier that you are the woman standing beside Sam❤️
One of the greatest gifts a mother can receive is seeing her child find someone who brings out so much joy in them.

Sam, being your mum has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I loved the little boy you were, I love the man you are, and I am incredibly proud of the life you are creating.

And news flash 😇 apparently I’m going to need several months of practice before the wedding if I have any hope of making it through a mother-of-the-groom speech without completely losing it. 😂❤️
I love you both. ❤️ by @lauraribbins

Are you living your day like a shotgun… or a rifle? 🎯
( tell me how you do 😇)

You know those days when you have SO much to do that you start doing a little bit of everything?

You answer two emails.
Start the laundry.
Think about meal prep.
Check your phone.
Start packing something away.
Remember another job.
Walk into another room… and completely forget why you went in there. 😂

Your energy is going everywhere.

That’s shotgun focus.

Lots of activity. Lots of noise. Lots of directions.

But not necessarily a lot getting DONE.

Now think about rifle focus.

🎯 One target.
🎯 One priority.
🎯 Your energy directed toward finishing THAT thing.

Then you move to the next target.

This applies to our health too.

Maybe tomorrow you’re thinking:

“I need to get my walking in.”
“I need to plan healthier meals.”
“I need to start strength training.”
“I need to drink more water.”
“I need to get organized.”

STOP.

Pick ONE.

If it’s your walk — put your shoes on and get out the door.

Because sometimes the hardest part of a walk isn’t the walking.

It’s getting out the door.

If it’s food — don’t redesign your entire diet tomorrow. Prepare your protein. Chop some vegetables. Make ONE thing easier for yourself this week.

If it’s a project you’ve been putting off — give it 30 focused minutes without trying to do six other things at the same time.

We don’t always need MORE energy.

Sometimes we simply need to stop scattering the energy we already have.

So here’s your Sunday challenge:

What’s your ONE target? 🎯

Finish it.

Then choose the next one.

Small focused actions create momentum — and momentum changes everything. ❤️ by @lauraribbins

Don’t just wake up… WAKE UP your body. ☀️✈️

Before you head out sightseeing, shopping, or catch your flight, take just 3–5 minutes to move.

A few simple stretches, squats, arm circles, and gentle mobility exercises can:

✅ Wake up stiff muscles and joints
✅ Improve circulation after a night’s sleep
✅ Help lower feelings of stress by supporting a healthier cortisol rhythm when paired with natural morning light and calm movement
✅ Boost energy and mental focus
✅ Help you feel more balanced and ready for the day

You don’t need a gym. You don’t need equipment. You just need to move.

Remember… movement is medicine, and every little bit adds up.

🎯 Your challenge: Before you leave your hotel room tomorrow morning, give yourself just 5 minutes. Your body will thank you.

What’s one thing you always do to wake your body up when you’re traveling? 👇 by @lauraribbins

Kim Ward you have changed many lives and I honor you - thank you - and I can’t wait to see where we go in the next 5 years 😇.

This weekend has me thinking about freedom… while I’m out walking, of course. 😄🚶‍♀️

On July 4th, America celebrates Independence Day — freedom from Britain.

And then on Monday, July 6th, here in the Cayman Islands, we celebrate Constitution Day — marking Cayman’s first written constitution in 1959 and an important step toward self-government.

So basically… America celebrates freedom from Britain, and Cayman celebrates freedom while still being connected to Britain.

History has layers, people. 😄🇺🇸🇰🇾🇬🇧

And as I’m walking, I’m thinking about another kind of freedom…

✨ Freedom of movement.
✨ Freedom to stay strong.
✨ Freedom to be independent.
✨ Freedom to get up off the couch without making strange noises.

Because that, my friends, is a freedom worth protecting!

So whether you’re celebrating with fireworks, family, football, World Cup watching, or a fabulous barbecue, don’t forget to move that magnificent body.

Now tell me…

What’s your favorite barbecue treat — burger, ribs, grilled corn, potato salad, watermelon, or the dessert table calling your name? 😄

And have you celebrated your freedom of movement today? by @lauraribbins

Happy Birthday, Sam! 🎉🎉

As your mom, I am so incredibly proud and excited to watch you seize every single day 🎉

You inspire me with the way you embrace life, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things this next year brings you.

Love you to the moon and back ❤️
