I am so excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have pushed me to where I am today. Thank you Coach Ben and Coach Maja for giving me this incredible opportunity!💙 by @lauren.redwine
At the start of the season I was told I would miss my senior season because I tore my meniscus. I prayed everyday that something like this wouldn’t happen to me. I cried. Not because I was in pain but because of the little girl who dreamed of playing on senior night, with her best friends, and just playing the sport she loves. I am grateful that I was able to learn this sport from a whole new perspective. Since then I have started to appreciate everything, every point, every good and bad practice, every win and loss and every pre game dance party in the locker room. I have also learned that life doesn’t end when something like this happens, it just keeps on moving. I had to find a way to move on and accept it because there was no way of changing it or making it go faster. I am greatful that this chapter of my life is not over yet. I never knew that a sport could give you your best friends. These girls have helped me through it all and were there for me when it was the hardest and I will forever be grateful for them. Thank you Memorial Volleyball for the best 4 years. Even though it is not at all what I pictured for myself I will always be glad it happened because of the people it gave me. #3out by @lauren.redwine
