Accessory exercises are SO important in a weights programme & can be a big reason your main lifts improve…which is what we all want!!! 👀 It’s great being super strong during your compound lifts, but you also need the supporting muscle groups to help you stabilise, control movement and produce force effectively. Accessory work can help strengthen those areas, address weaknesses and build the foundations that support your bigger lifts 💪 The big lifts get all the credit, but trust me… the accessory work does the behind the scenes 🥵 #athlete #gym #rowing #olympian by @lauren_irwin98
