✨ AHFA Educator of the Year Finalist✨

I’m honestly so grateful (and a little emotional) to share that I’ve been named a finalist for Educator of the Year at the AHFA Awards 🤍

This recognition represents the late-night marking, the endless tweaking and creating new learning tools, and the quiet moments of wondering if I’m doing enough — all driven by many goals: to inspire my regional apprentices to back themselves and step outside their comfort zone, give the best darn education to all students, represent my fellow TAFE educators, and push myself as well.

Teaching in a regional space means wearing many hats, believing in students before they believe in themselves, and showing them that their postcode never defines their potential.

Watching apprentices grow in confidence, skill, and courage is the real reward — this finalist spot is just the cherry on top.

To my students: thank you for trusting me with your learning journey.

To my fellow educators: this is for all of us burning the midnight oil.

And to everyone who’s supported me along the way — I see you, and I appreciate you more than you know.

Here’s to growth, grit, and doing the work that matters 💪✂️

I take my hat off to the team at @bendigo_hair_collective for an amazing day at the Barber & Brew networking event. You legends were so welcoming and made our @heinigerprofessionals_ausnz feel at home.
To all of the barbers and hairdressers that invested in a ticket to this event just showed me that you guys care about your careers.
I hope you all have the best careers that you can possibly have.
Thank you to @lauren_manecolab and to @emily_eliades , @julie.curnow for having me.
Enjoy the @smashithair and @shakeitdryshampoo that you guys purchased . by @lauren_manecolab

No pressure! 🫣
I’ve been fortunate to get to know this man over the last few years, and on Sunday at the @bendigo_hair_collective Barber & Brews event at @true_brew I was able to introduce and interview @_frankciccone_ to our local barbers and hairstylists who attended.

What a cracking day! Thanks to all who came, the weather was less than ideal, but the brews were flowing!
