One of my favorite songs to sing :) a little Elvis for you here in Alaska! Xoxox what’s your favorite Elvis song!? by @laurendariana

🦋Just lived a dream worthy week with the Queen herself, Dolly Parton!!🦋 No one else quite like this earth angel and honored, blessed, lucky to even say I have worked with her three times in this little life?!! My mind is blown, heart is bursting and I’m still pinching myself. Endlessly thankful… 🥹 by @laurendariana

Yanni posted a live clip of Nightingale on his page today! This is from our concert last month in Saudi Arabia! A few years ago, in 2017, was the first time men, women and families could see a concert like ours together. I was the first woman in recent history to sing on stage for a mixed audience. A moment that I won’t soon forget! I have been fortunate enough to sing in Saudi Arabia three times now and have loved exploring the country! Check out the clip and comment below!! Have you seen us perform this live?! We are heading to Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia next week! Who will be there!? Repost @officialyanni ・・・
Yanni - Live! “Nightingale“
AlUla, Saudi Arabia
The beautiful ”Conversation” between a “Nightingale” and our Orchestra!… It makes me very happy, because none of this could have taken place just a few short years ago!… Yanni ❤️🌹

Stick around if you like high notes!! 🎶 So yesterday was World Opera Day… This was the very first video I ever posted to YouTube. It was also filmed on a blackberry phone by @davidlomelink and I was accompanied by the fabulous @rolandogarza_rdz. David and Rolando had invited me to sing alongside them at a benefit concert for children with leukemia in Monterrey, Mexico (one of my favorite places!) and this was the afterparty/dinner. It was 2 am and we were just singing and having a blast all night long. I had been singing The Doll Song from Tales of Hoffmann for fun in lessons and coachings, but had never performed it live… to say I was always nervous about it was an understatement. With Rolando and David’s encouragement, I said I guess I could at least try it for people once and see what happens. Well this is what happened! 🥰 it is not perfect, but was certainly fun and gave me the confidence to later sing it with orchestras! I remember it like it was yesterday and loved all the dear friends I made at that concert. 🥰 Olympia is a mechanical doll and sometimes has mechanical difficulties where she needs to be wound back up to continue to work/sing. This is the end of the aria where that happens - thanks for the wind up Rolando! 😘 by @laurendariana

The hero of my life is @dollyparton so this has been a hard one to process…

I first met Dolly in 2018, and I could not believe I was getting the chance to work with my hero. She made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room… and she smelled delicious. An absolute earth angel. Now she’s traded those earthly butterfly wings for real angel ones.

When she told me she loved my hair that first day and I told her I loved HER hair- she responded with a giggle and said “well, which one!??” She loved my high notes and told me she’d watched me sing “Nightingale” with Yanni… she even did an impression of me and I nearly fainted! She was so encouraging and fought for me to succeed. I’m forever grateful to my friend Glen Roven, who passed away later in 2018, for introducing me to one of my best friends Maria, and into the world of Dolly.

To meet and work with her once was unimaginable to me and such a thrill. But to go on and take part in developing her life’s story for the stage, the readings in New York and Nashville, is something I’ll hold close to my heart forever.

Having my residency at Dollywood, in her hometown, was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget. Walking the grounds that she built, singing in the place that raised her, it made her legacy feel even closer. My mother has always encouraged me to be more like Dolly - I will always think she was the best role model! :)

What a legend, and the one thing the world could all agree on: Dolly Parton. She changed the world, and her legacy will live on through her music and her philanthropy. The world will miss you, Dolly... I will always love you. 🦋 songbird, flying high and free… sing your song for me. by @laurendariana
