Such a vibe at Middle Room! Coming into this building complex from the street, I didn’t expect an oasis of courtyard calm in the middle of bustling Bengaluru and definitely not a listening bar with a great food menu upstairs.
.
The excellent music got going a bit later in the evening and the space swathed in red light really added to the cozy and relaxed vibe. Thank you @akhilasrinivas and @middleroomblr for the hospitality.

What a hoot this shoot at @navuproject was! Thank you @the.tenth.muse and @_disturbingthepeas for being such good sports for these portraits and for the crazy amount of laughs we had.

How do I start with this monster of a story? This was one hell of an experience and I have to say that I’ve never photographed anything like this in my career.
.
Over 4 super long days, I ran around Bengaluru for @cntravellerindia with the assistance of @sa1i1 and met some of the city’s most interesting chefs cooking the most amazing things.
.
I’m super proud of this beautiful story shining a spotlight on Bengaluru’s lively and fun dining scene. I ate super well but what left an even more lasting impression is how extremely hospitable everyone in the city is.
.
Sneak peek here. More soon.

As part of our collaboration with @eastside.asia , we’ve created a series of experiences that offer different ways to get to know Joo Chiat.

To mark the launch of our first zine and celebrate the opening of @igcasia’s new flagship store in Joo Chiat, Singapore, we’re launching two special tours this Aug to inspire fresh discovery of the neighbourhood. We invite you to join us:

🍽️ Food Tour: Guided by respected food expert and longtime local @desireekoh13, this 2.5-hour walking adventure is designed to shine a light on the places that tell the story of Joo Chiat’s many cultures, from an Egyptian bakery to a decades-old fried kway teow shop and a hole-in-the-wall cafe carved out of the side of a home. It shares the stories of the people behind them, and you get to taste everything along the route.

📸 Photo Walk: On this 2-hour stroll led by award-winning photographer @laurynishak, you’ll learn to identify photo opportunities by watching the light, people and moments – and when to put the camera down and just observe. We specifically didn’t want this to be about chasing photogenic corners or ticking off a checklist – it’s about getting to know a neighbourhood slowly and finding beauty in the ordinary. Come as you are: bring your curiosity and whichever camera is in your hand.

Tours happening on several dates between 21-23 Aug and 28-30 Aug. Book your place now at https://www.eventbrite.sg/o/30067277890 — or hit the link in bio 👆 by @laurynishak

I hardly post personal snaps on my work IG but this trip to Finland and Norway back in Feb/March this year is one to remember for many reasons.
.
First, we weren’t sure that we were going to be able to make it. There was a bit of a health scare back over at Christmas and this trip was a goal that we kept in view. If we go, it meant that things were good. Fast forward two months, things were pretty good and cautiously we went.
.
Second, nothing prepped us for -20C plus windchill in the wilderness. But as torturous as getting dressed was, it was such a nice change from the sweltering weather we wake up to every day. An outdoor swim at -12C was a highlight and being newbies, we didn’t think to bring sandals to make the journey between sauna and outdoor pool a bit less painful for our feet.
.
Third, it was truly nice to have done this trip with familiar faces after a hard few months. It’s a trip that will be remembered fondly always also because of a bonus unexpected day in Copenhagen.

Easy, breezy coastal living spiked with urban adventure – that's what you get in Phuket, Thailand, which photographer @laurynishak calls "relaxed and unpretentious." The photographer, who shot the area for Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2026, says "you can walk into any establishment, store or bar and feel welcome." Some of my favourite photos over 10 days in Portugal with the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max.
.
I’ve truly had a great time with this phone. So impressed by its capabilities and how much I can cover when traveling without a proper camera.
.
The 4x (100mm equivalent) and 8x (200mm equivalent) zoom are the features I was most looking forward to test and I am happy to report that both are very intuitive to the way I shoot. I found myself reaching for these lengths quite frequently. Even though the 8x is really more of a crop from the main 48mp camera, I found the results very much improved compared to what the 16 Pro Max was able to do.
.
In short, I found myself using the iPhone for shots that I wouldn’t have normally taken. Looking forward to seeing more with the 17 Pro Max and will share more pictures soon!

A Sony 50–150mm at f/2.
Yes, you read that right.
.
At first, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of that focal range. I’ve always been a prime lens girl — or a 24–70mm / 70–200mm girl when I have to travel lighter and shoot quicker. I had a chance to take the 50-150mm for a spin documenting a ballet practice at Singapore Chinese Girls’ School, and guess what? Every single shot in this post was taken with just this one lens.
.
The versatility of the 50–150mm really surprised me. The f/2 aperture is a dream in low light — super helpful without sacrificing sharpness. It delivers lovely bokeh and beautiful subject-background separation. The autofocus? Fast enough to keep up with the girls mid-leap and twirl.
.
The 50-150mm covered everything I needed: wider contextual shots at 50mm, creamy portraits and details between 85–135mm, and creative crops at 150mm. All of that…without ever needing to change lenses.
.
Color me impressed. This one’s a win.
