A Little Reminder About Our Brand 💛 We’re a small business, but we’ve spent years building, creating and protecting the L’Barkery brand — including trademarks over our unique product names and terms. Most businesses are incredibly understanding when we reach out to let them know that a particular name is protected. Often, they simply weren’t aware, and we’re more than happy to explain things politely and respectfully. 🤝 Unfortunately, not everyone responds that way. We’ve recently experienced businesses choosing to argue, criticise or put L’Barkery down simply because we’ve asked them not to use terms that we have legally protected and worked hard to create and establish. To be clear: we will protect our intellectual property. We’re not asking other businesses for anything unreasonable. We’re simply asking them to respect our registered trademarks and the work, time and investment that went into building them. If someone chooses not to comply after being made aware, then yes — we reserve our legal rights to take further action. And while it may seem like a small issue from the outside, for a small business, it isn't. Every dollar we have to spend dealing with trademark misuse, disputes and legal matters is money that could otherwise go towards: 🐾 Developing new products 🐾 Supporting our business 🐾 Investing back into L’Barkery 🐾 And most importantly, the charitable donations we’re able to make to animals in need. ❤️ We’ve worked incredibly hard to build L’Barkery, and we’re proud of what we’ve created. We will always choose respect, communication and education first — but we also believe in protecting what we’ve worked so hard to build. Please respect our brand. Please respect our trademarks. And please support small businesses doing the right thing. 🐾 #LBarkery #SupportSmallBusiness #SmallBusinessAustralia #TrademarkProtection #ProtectYourBrand #AustralianBusiness #PetBusiness #DogsOfAustralia #CatsOfAustralia by @lbarkery
