This month’s Long Beach Art League exhibit, Gratitude, brings together a diverse collection of works exploring the many ways gratitude can be expressed and experienced through Art. Among the featured works is Rebirth, a collage by Laura Ilkiw, inspired by Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. A female figure emerges from the water, shedding earlier versions of herself and moving toward a reimaginedβ€”and unexpectedβ€”identity. Rebirth reflects the beauty, challenges, and possibilities of reinventing ourselves at every stage of life. #artexhibit #communityart #longisland #lbny11561 #longbeachny #lbny #longbeachlibraryny #longbeachart #gratitudeart #gratitude by @lbpl_ny
βœ¨πŸ‘‘ Once upon a Sunday at the Library… πŸ‘‘βœ¨ What a magical afternoon! We were thrilled to welcome the Sunrise Theatre Company to Long Beach Public Library for a wonderful live performance of Cinderella, co-sponsored by the Long Beach Arts Council. 🎭 And our audience came ready for the occasion! We had so many little princesses arrive in full costume, ready to watch Cinderella’s magical transformation. πŸ‘‘βœ¨ With beautiful voices, wonderful performances, and plenty of smiles, it was such a joy to see our library filled with families enjoying live theater together. At LBPL, we love bringing theater, music, art, and unique experiences right into our community. Supporting local performers and creating opportunities for our patrons to experience the arts is something we’re always excited to do. ❀️ Thank you to Sunrise Theatre Company, the Long Beach Arts Council, and everyone who came out to make this afternoon so special! And if you haven’t been to the Library lately… you never know what might be happening next. πŸ˜‰πŸ“šβœ¨ #LongBeachPublicLibrary #LongBeachNY #SunriseTheatreCompany #LongBeachArtsCouncil #LiveTheater #CommunityArts #FamilyFun #SupportTheArts #LibraryPrograms #nassaucounty by @lbpl_ny
Once upon a time… at the Long Beach Public Library! βœ¨πŸ‘‘ Thank you to Sunrise Theatre Company for bringing Cinderella to life for our community. Our youngest guests came dressed in their finest gowns and tiaras, and the room was full of magic, laughter, and a few twirls across the floor. Moments like these are why we do what we do: live theater, right here in our hometown, for families to share together. A big thank-you to the cast, the library, and every family who joined us. Stay tuned for more performances and programs coming soon! πŸ’™ #LBNYArtsCouncil #LongBeachNY #SunriseTheatreCompany #Cinderella #CommunityArts LiveTheater FamilyFun by @lbpl_ny
