So much of healing lives in the duality. Holding love and anger, grief and joy, all in the same breath.

That’s not you being “inconsistent.” That’s you being human.

This is therapy. This is life.

Save this for the day your feelings feel like they’re contradicting each other. And send it to someone who needs permission to feel both. 🤍

Not sure how to say goodbye to your therapist? Borrow these words. A goodbye doesn’t erase the meaning of what came before. Save this for when you may need it!

Ghosting is okay. It’s allowed. 🤍

AND sometimes, the urge to disappear can become an opportunity for a safe goodbye, closure, or even repair.

Of course, this isn’t about situations where therapy feels unsafe or harmful.

You are allowed to leave a therapeutic relationship that doesn’t feel right for you. You don’t have to explain yourself to deserve that choice.

And if it feels safe enough, having that conversation can sometimes be healing, too. 💛👻 by @leahrcounseling
