POSTS STORIES REELS
Raising my girls on English Heritage instead of the latest trends. Give me muddy boots, ancient castles, woodland walks and learning through adventure any day. I want their childhood to be full of places to explore, stories to discover and memories theyโ€™ll carry with them. #EnglishHeritage #VisitEngland #HomeEducationUK #FamilyDaysOut #UKDaysOut by @learningandroaming
A little step further on our low-tox journey We've already made lots of little swaps around our home over time and it's something we've been becoming more conscious of as a family. I feel like now I want to slow down a little, be more intentional and really focus on the products we're bringing into our home and the alternatives we can make. So grateful to have been gifted this lovely @allavareuk bundle. It's lovely to discover more brands that fit with the way we're trying to live. It's not about perfection or changing everything overnight, but continuing to make more thoughtful choices, one little swap at a time. #LowToxLiving #NaturalLiving #MindfulHome #SlowLiving #ConsciousChoices by @learningandroaming
Our November bookshelf. A little shift towards slower, more seasonal learning this month. We're exploring the natural world, from the woodland floor to the earth beneath our feet. Fungi, moss, lichen, autumn, weather, geography and the changing seasons. A mixture of beautiful reference books, nature study and stories to dip in and out of throughout the month. I'm trying to embrace a slower approach to home education, following the seasons, noticing the little things and giving the girls time to explore the things that spark their curiosity. Less rushing through topics, more time to wonder. What are you exploring this November? #HomeEducation #WaldorfInspired #SeasonalLiving #ChildLedLearning #SlowLiving by @learningandroaming
Wild Autumn at Marwell Zoo! ๐ŸŽƒ We were invited along to enjoy their Wild Autumn half term event and what a lovely way to spend a day together! From pumpkin carving and the autumn maze to pumpkin patch games and story time with a friendly witch, thereโ€™s plenty to keep little ones busy. And of course, we loved spending time meeting the animals and learning more about them with their keepers. Keep your eyes peeled for the scarecrows dotted around the park, made by the teams at Marwell! Donโ€™t forget to vote for your favourite when you visit! Looking for something to do with the kids this half term? Add this one to your list! ๐Ÿ“… 24 October โ€“ 1 November 2026 ๐Ÿ“Marwell Wildlife, Thompsons Lane, Winchester, Hampshire SO21 1JH Follow along for more family days out and learning adventures! A little bit of spooky storytelling! ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป Weโ€™ve been enjoying Mr Men Little Miss: Haunted Halloween with my littlest, the perfect little read for getting into the Halloween spirit! ๐Ÿ“š @farshorebooks #MrMenHauntedHalloween #halloweenchildrensbooks @theinfluenceroomofficial #gifted #witchyvibes #seasonalliving by @learningandroaming
How lucky we are to be able to stand amongst so much history. Visiting the Roman Baths and taking on the Eew! Revolting Roman Remedies Trail was such a lovely way to bring history to life for the girls. From learning about Roman life and medicine to discovering some of the rather disgusting remedies they used, there was so much to talk about and learn. This is what I love about home educating. Being able to get out, explore, follow our curiosity and learn about the world around us. Not just reading about history in a book, but actually standing in a place where it happened nearly 2,000 years ago. ๐Ÿ“ The Roman Baths, Bath The Eew! Revolting Roman Remedies Trail runs from 16 October to 1 November 2026, 9amโ€“5pm and is included with admission. A brilliant one to add to your home ed days out if you're visiting during half term! #HomeEducationUK #HomeEdAdventures #LearningBeyondTheClassroom #RomanBaths #HandsOnLearning by @learningandroaming
Our favourite place with a spooky Halloween twist! Weโ€™re members of @exburygardens and itโ€™s one of our favourite places to visit, so we were so excited to be invited along to their Halloween Ghost Train! This year, we stepped into the Curse of the Haunted Circus with creepy characters and spooky surprises along the way! Thereโ€™s also a haunted circus trail through the Rock Garden, with circus skills to try, plus the girls got creative at the creepy craft workshop, making a spooky garden and a cobweb dream catcher. A lovely way to start off our half term fun! ๐Ÿ“ Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway, Hampshire ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Ghost train: ยฃ10 per person (ยฃ9 for members), under 3s go free. ๐ŸŽจ Halloween activities: ยฃ7 per activity Both the Ghost Train and Halloween activities are extra to your garden admission ticket or membership. A Halloween Science Fair this half term! Four ambitious scientists. One mysterious benefactor. A science fair where things are not quite what they seem and YOU are the judges! Looking for something to do with the kids this half term? Milestones Museum is the perfect place to escape the rain and enjoy a little spooky science adventure! ๐Ÿ“… 24th October โ€“ 1st November ๐Ÿ“ Milestones Museum, Basingstoke โ—๏ธSave this for the perfect half term day out and follow along for more family days out and adventures! #HampshireDaysOut #MilestonesMuseum #HampshireHalfTerm #FamilyDaysOut #HalloweenActivities by @learningandroaming
A family afternoon tea at The Pump Room in Bath The girls had their own afternoon tea and hot chocolates, while we enjoyed the Jane Austen inspired one, all whilst listening to a pianist. So lovely to win this giveaway and enjoy a little family treat together. #Bath #ThePumpRoom #AfternoonTea #FamilyDaysOut #VisitBath by @learningandroaming

๐Ÿ‚ The Conscious Minds autumn curriculum has been amazing for us! A nervous system led, nature inspired curriculum for ages 1โ€“8, helping us slow down with the seasons and learn together in a way that works for all three girls. Less rushing, more exploring. Highly recommend heading over to @conscious.minds.curriculum and checking out their Autumn curriculum. *kindly gifted #HomeEducation #HomeEducating #HomeEdUK #NatureBasedLearning #ChildLedLearning by @learningandroaming
A family owned Pumpkin Patch! We love finding places like this for a family day out, and @secrettsmilford has plenty to keep everyone busy this autumn! Did you know Secretts grows around 200,000 pumpkins every year? ๐ŸŽƒ Pumpkin Week actually started back in 2009 after a customer cancelled an order for 1,000 pumpkins. Rather than let them go to waste, the family invited the local community to come and pick their ownโ€ฆ and it's grown from there! There's so much more to do than just pick a pumpkin, too! ๐ŸŽƒ Pick your perfect pumpkin straight from the field, with lots of different shapes and sizes to choose from ๐Ÿ”Ž Follow the trail with a scavenger hunt sheet ๐Ÿšœ Mini pedal tractors for little ones ๐Ÿ‘ป A silly magic show and a haunted house ๐Ÿช Biscuit decorating ๐Ÿ”ฅ Marshmallow toasting and glitter face painting ๐ŸŽญ Halloween fancy dress competition ๐Ÿฐ Pumpkin cake, homemade treats, pumpkin soup, pumpkin curry and BBQ favourites! Plus, there are colourful pumpkin displays and spooky walkways, making it such a lovely spot for autumn photos. ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Tickets are ยฃ8.50 per person, including entry, the scavenger hunt sheet, access to the pumpkin field and entry into the fancy dress competition. Under-2s go free! Just remember, the walk to the pumpkin field takes around 15โ€“20 minutes each way. Most of the path is paved, so buggies can manage most of it, but there are muddy sections, so sturdy shoes or wellies are a good idea! ๐Ÿ“ Secretts Farm Shop F.A.
