Let’s reintroduce Druid🌿🌷

She is a beautiful blonde kitty that was rescued on UH campus❤️🐾! Druid is affectionate, independent, gentle, playful, sweet, curious, and quiet.

Druid’s favorite pastime is receiving head and booty scritches and playing tag with the other feline housemates. She does the best in quiet homes with no kiddos and no dogs.

Druid needs a patient owner who will give her time and space to transition to a new home. Once she’s comfortable, she’s a total sweetie pie🩷. If you want to learn more about Druid , or if you are interested in adopting Druid, check out the links in our bio❣️ by @learslegacy

Update: foster home found
🚨 HOUSTON: A Tiny Kitten Was Abandoned at PetSmart and Needs a Foster Home 🐾💔

This tiny, scared kitten was abandoned inside PetSmart.

A store employee found her crawling on bedding after someone left her behind. 💔

Thankfully, she's safe now, but she needs a foster home while she receives care, grows stronger, and gets ready for adoption.

Like so many homeless animals in Houston, she isn't asking for much: a soft bed, a safe place, and someone willing to give her a chance. 🧡

Fostering saves lives. By opening your home to this little girl for a few months, you'll give her the chance to feel safe, learn to trust, and blossom into the kitten she's meant to be before she finds her forever family. 💕

🏠 Could you be her safe place?

📩 DM us or apply to foster: 🔗 linktr.ee/learslegacy

💛 Can't foster? Please consider donating to help cover her veterinary care, food, and supplies as she begins her journey toward a better life. For direct donations: https://checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/LLCR

Can't donate? Please SHARE. Her future foster family may be just one post away. 🐾❤️

She was abandoned. Let's show her she matters. 💕

🐱✨ Well, Hello Houston!

It's me, Bowie.

I was found under a music venue in Houston last year.

Now I spend my days soaking up sunbeams, watching Cat TV, napping in my dome bed, and patiently waiting for my forever family. ☀️😸

I'd say things are going pretty well.

But not every cat is that lucky.

That's why the humans at Lear's Legacy Cat Rescue and @clutchcitykitties are hosting Whiskers for Wishes. 🎄🐾

The money raised helps Houston's homeless cats get the things every cat deserves:

❤️ Veterinary care
❤️ Food and supplies
❤️ Safe foster homes
❤️ Spay and neuter programs that help reduce the number of cats struggling on the streets

A fundraiser like this is the reason cats like me get a second chance.

So if you'd like to help more cats find safety, comfort, and maybe even a forever home of their own, we'd love to see you there. 😺

🎄 Whiskers for Wishes

📅 December 12 – 7-10 pm

📍 110 Milby St, Houston

🍸 Complimentary drinks & Hors d'oeuvres

🎷 Live jazzy holiday music

🎨 Pet portraits

✨ And a whole lot of cat-loving people coming together for a great cause

Love,
Bowie ⭐🐾

P.S. If anyone attending is looking for a handsome guy with a love of naps and attention... I'm accepting applications for the position of Forever Family. DM us to meet me! 😽❤️

Friday Success Story🌟and how your donations make a difference!

Once upon a time, Zoey was found on UH campus and she was pregnant! After her kittens were born, donation funds were used to get her spayed and she was released back to campus. One of her kittens, Joey was captured, fostered, and ended up finding her forever home💗! The other two kittens were unable to be captured and ultimately left the area.

After some time, a community member spotted Zoey on campus with a major injury. The veterinarian confirmed that her wounds were severe and her care was going to be costly. After receiving many generous donations we were able to provide Zoey with the care she deserved. She unfortunately lost her front right paw in the process, but went on to make a full recovery❤️‍🩹. We were so grateful that we had the funds to support her.

While Zoey was recovering we reached out to Joey’s adoptive mom and asked her if she was interested in fostering Zoey. She said yes, quickly fell in love with Zoey, and adopted her💗💗!

Not only is this is success story because Zoey and Joey were reunited and found their forever home, but the donations we received helped us save Zoey’s life. We would not have been able to provide Zoey the right medical care without the donations of others. Whether its a small or large donation, it all makes a difference and helps us give our cats the best care while they’re waiting to find their forever home.🏡

🎃✨ Tater Tot's Halloween Resume ✨🎃

Hello, my name is Tater Tot, and this Halloween I have successfully played the following roles:

🎬 Frankenstein movie star
🎃 Pumpkin patch princess
🐾 Professional toy tester
❤️ Expert lap warmer

After much consideration, I've decided none of those are my dream job.

What I really want is to be someone's forever cat.

I'm ready to trade movie posters and pumpkin costumes for sunny windows, cozy blankets, and a family to call my own. If you're looking for a sweet companion who can clearly pull off any look, come meet me.

Let's make this the Halloween where my adoption wish comes true. 🧡

If Tater Tot has stolen your heart, please reach out about adoption or share her story. The perfect family might see this because of you.

🐻 He Wanted Love... But He Couldn't Eat 💔

Six-month-old Bear wandered up to a kind person in Houston's East End neighborhood looking for help.

He was friendly. He was affectionate. He wanted attention.

But he wouldn't eat.

When Bear came into our care, we discovered why. This sweet boy was suffering from severe stomatitis, a painful condition that causes inflammation in the mouth. Imagine every bite feeling unbearable.

At just 6 months old, Bear needed extensive dental treatment to relieve his pain and give him the chance at a healthy future.

Now we're asking for your help.

Bear's veterinary care totaled $1,001.10, including:

🐾 Dental cleaning: $270
🐾 Tooth extractions: $330
🐾 Bloodwork: $200
🐾 Medications and pain management: $101.10
🐾 Exam and overnight care: $100

Every dollar goes to Bear's veterinary care expenses to ensure he has the comfort and quality of life every kitten deserves.

Bear never stopped being sweet, even while hurting.

Now this little tuxedo boy, affectionately known as our "Gummy Bear", needs a community behind him.

❤️ Can you donate $5, $10, $25, or any amount to help us cover Bear's medical expenses?

❤️ Can't donate? Sharing this post helps more than you know.

❤️ Leave a 🐻 in the comments to send Bear some love during his recovery.

Every rescued cat has a story. Bear's story is still being written, and your support helps make sure it has the happy ending he deserves.

I’m Boingo — your future best friend disguised as a brown tabby 🤎🐾

I’ve been waiting since 2025 for my person… way too long for a cat who loves this big.

I meow softly for snacks, zoom proudly through the house, nap in warm sunbeams, and request belly rubs in my own quirky way. I’m basically a goofy little shadow who just wants someone to choose me.

Brown tabbies aren’t always the “popular” pick — but we’re loyal, silly, affectionate, and ready to fill your home with joy 🤎💛
What more could you want in a forever friend?

If you want a quirky sous chef, a bedtime buddy, and a cat who will adore you endlessly… I’m right here.

Is today the day you choose me?

📩 Want to meet Boingo? DM us or apply here: https://linktr.ee/learslegacy
