Opaline blow

Two hand-shaped glass parts come together as one quiet object. The overall design brings a sense of nostalgia. Opaline surfaces hold a cloudy softness, diffusing the light into a gentle, floating glow that fills the space with a calm, atmospheric presence.

“Dinette” takes its name from the French word for the toy dinner sets children play with. Small random pieces arranged to dine, imagine, and have fun. This body of work transforms functional glassware into a playful space. Through mixing forms and working with clear glass applications, I work through the challenges of the process intuitively and with enjoyment.
Transparent glass is honest and reveals everything the master maker prefers to hide ,tool marks, subtle imperfections, and the unpredictable qualities of the material. This honesty highlights thinness and animates curves, giving each piece a presence that celebrates both the act of making and the joy of using the work.
Dinette is a reflection of curiosity, craftsmanship, and the playful possibilities of glass.
