✨ My first showcase. ✨

This was never part of the plan. This year was supposed to be about taking the pressure off, reconnecting with pole (and myself), and finding my passion again after Worlds. I needed a break from the pressure of competing, and a chance to just enjoy dancing again.

But then, two weeks before the showcase, my coach asked me to fill in. And if my team needs me, the answer will pretty much always be yes. I'd do anything for these girls. ❤️

So, Cara and I put together a doubles act in three one-hour practice sessions. 😂 Let that sink in. THREE HOURS. No pressure, right?!

And you know what? I've never felt so free dancing.

So relaxed. So present. So completely at ease with myself.

With each performance, I felt a little more comfortable. There was something so freeing about not having every floorwork move choreographed to perfection, doing movements that felt natural and fun, and dancing with a partner who smiled and seemed to love every second as much as I did.

No overthinking. No chasing perfection. Just two people enjoying the dance. 🖤

And somewhere in those three little hours, I found a little piece of myself I thought I'd lost.

Turns out, taking a break from competing didn't mean I'd fallen out of love with it. Maybe I just needed to remember what it feels like to dance because I want to.

And now? That little competitive spark is flickering again. 👀🔥

Also, these photos are BEAUTIFUL. 😍✨ by @leeannmoves

👹📸 Monsters after Midnight… and the evidence is TERRIFYING! 🖤✨

Too glam to give a damn, too spooky to behave, and definitely not sleeping before midnight! 😈💋 Our monsters came to slay… and slay they DID! by @leeannmoves

Holy Macaroni! I felt like a potato 🤣 I did not feel graceful at all... I didn't really know what to expect. That was impressively harder than I thought it would be.
BUT!!!!! I had the best time. I felt strong! I felt empowered! I felt like my body wouldn't let me down. That is massive for me.

I learned some really cool things. I Absolutely 100% loved it & will be going back!

Quiet Power
Not made of fragile glass or quiet stone,
Though some have tried to shape us on a throne.
We carry worlds inside a single frame,
And write the history they forgot to name.
With hands that nurture, minds that blaze and lead,
With quiet courage in our daily deed.
We rise like tides that sweep the heavy shore,
Unstoppable, resilient, and more. by @leeannmoves
