🎃 Happy Halloween 👻 If I dressed up this year, I would’ve gone as a witch, the landlady from Kung Fu Hustle, or Maomao haha I had a lot of fun choosing the beads for this charm! I don’t usually make jewel toned keychains, but it’s so sophisticated and more appropriate for fall 🍁 the colors are based off of Maomao’s Garden Party outfit 🪷☁️ tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #chineseculture #maomao #apothecarydiaries by @leechipear
mashing my two hobbies in one was filming a kiiikiiii - pop off dance cover and had to accessorize! i decided to replace the peace sign on haum’s belt chain with a panchang knot!! i love adding in my handmade knots wherever i can 🤩 I’ve been super busy the past few weeks! I *did indeed* have a shop launch, but couldn’t focus much on marketing myself bc I lowkey got burnt out preparing for the launch. I was also juggling a dance cover and interviewing and after months of searching… I got a job!!! To be honest, I had been laid off for a few months and posting on here was one of the few things that kept me going, so I’m sincerely grateful for all the support❣️My knots bring me a lot of joy. Being able to share my culture is SO rewarding. And being able to wish someone good luck and happiness with something handmade is even more fulfilling! Thank you for reading this far 🥺 If you’d like to check out my handmade charms, link is in my bio! I’m offering 20% off for this first week of my launch, use code POPOFF20!! tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #chineseculture #kiiikiii #kpopdancecover by @leechipear
Why does it look like my bear is Snow White and he’s about to get smooched and awoken 😭🤣 I’ll have to try a light brown string next time! I think the green might be a tad too bright, but overall I’m very happy with my little bear charm & getting to create something new 🐻💗 & happy mid-autumn festival! I didn’t make the necessary preparations this year to have a themed post, but I love this time of year! 🥮 the moon was super pretty today 🌕🐇 tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #chineseculture #手工製作 #knots by @leechipear
I love cafe time! I get a little treat AND I get to craft!! (∗˃̶ ᵕ ˂̶∗) Having everything packed up makes it easy to take wherever I go, whether it be the library or to hang out with a friend! Sometimes I’ll switch to a backpack when I have to bring my laptop and I know I’ll have everything I need to work on a charm as long as I have my tins and tool pouch. Like everyone else trying to stay off their phone less, this makes it frictionless to do something else other than doomscrolling. If you also make chinese knots, a tip is to light the ends of your threads BEFORE leaving the house so you don’t have to light it up in front of the cafe (｡﹏｡”) tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #chineseculture #手工製作 #knots I also drew the doodles on this page! I have my OC, Li-Kee and my first ever sticker: Monkey King stuck in a gourd, but bursting his way out! ig you can say I love Daiso and containers I’m working on Pearl Mist charms here! They were my most viral charm, but I think I have other solid ones 😤 Writing is so valuable that in Chinese, you can refer to the tools as 文房四寶 (the four treasures) the brush, ink stick, ink stone, and paper. I tried to do that but uh we just have chinese knot tools HAHA I love this bag! I found it at a thrift store and I believe the brand is no longer in business, so it’s actually vintage 😔 the brand is from Thailand! by @leechipear
Unboxing my first ever business cards and stickers!! I used Vista Print and Custom Stickers and both were great 😊👍 It’s so amazing to see my art in print! I wanna hand out a business card and sticker to everyone hahaha although… I guess that’s exactly what I’ll be doing when packing orders ꉂꉂ(≧ᗜ≦ ) I’m planning on explaining a little more about my monkey king sticker in the next video! And also sharing more about my OC Li-Kee on the bunny business cards ♡ ૮ . . ྀིა⁩ tags: #smallbusiness #unboxing #businesscards #stickers #chineseart by @leechipear
Cloud Fortune Knot Tutorial 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ ☁️་༘ Some of you have been asking for a tutorial on this cloud fortune knot and here it is! Let me know if you want to see anything else! I added a poll in case you’d like to vote 🗳️ After a year of sharing my knots on leechipear, I’ve decided to LAUNCH A SHOP on Sat. 10/3!! There will be a variety of lucky charms available and a free sticker with each purchase :D (my first ever sticker based on my fav Wukong! ヽᗧ(๑•̀ .̫ <๑)ᗤ) There’s been a lot of firsts while getting ready with ups and downs, but it’s been really exciting to work on something that’s mine 🩵 Hope you can check it out when it’s live! tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #chineseculture #diycraft #diygiftideas by @leechipear
🧧Cloud Fortune Knot 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ ☁️་༘ I was playing around with my fortune knot after teaching a friend how to make one and discovered I could put the tail ends through the ears before making another fortune knot which creates a cloud like shape! 🌁 With two fortune knots together, it also kinda looks like a character hehe so I drew a little cloud monkey 🐒 tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #luckycharm #chineseculture #手工製作 by @leechipear
ଘ(˵ˊᵕˋ)━☆ It’s like magic!! ⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ Growing your own charms might seem daunting, but take it slow and you’ll see results! ๑ï This is a black and pink version of my pearl mist charm that I then grew into a paracord keychain! It currently hangs on my work backpack 🚌 tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #手工制作 #chineseculture #gardening by @leechipear
‧₊˚ 🪷 Lotus Ribbon Rosette ⋆𐙚 ̊. Got to combine a ribbon rosette with a chinese knot! This lotus rosette took a while to make since I haven’t worked much with ribbon before. I had to figure out how to make the petals and definitely inhaled a lot of fumes while gluing 😵‍💫 but I think the end result was worth it, I love all the colors! They look so harmonious together 🪷 and the butterly panchang knot stands out so well against the blue 🩵 I wish we had more lotus gardens around here! They’re so gorgeous (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.ﾟ tags: #ribbonrosette #chineseknot #手工制作#chineseculture #lotus by @leechipear
(๑’ᵕ’๑)⸝* lucky knot ‧₊ ᵎᵎ 🍀 ໒꒱ My last post for my Seven Celestial Fairies collection 😇 it’s 4 josephine knots / double coin knots, but when interlocked, they make such an intricate design! It even looks like a clover!! This might be the luckiest knot I’ve made 💵🤑 tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #手工制作#chineseculture #luckycharm by @leechipear
˘͈ᵕ˘͈⸝* 7 Celestial Fairies .☘︎ ݁˖ SO EXCITED to finally show off my Celestial Fairies collection!! 🧸🧺🍓🍯 I wanted to make each keychain stand out and have its own special design, so I had to step out of my comfort zone to make more intricate layouts 👷‍♀️🔨 My two favorites are the red and green one! The green and gold color combo is so stunning and it looks so uniform and balanced 🍀 the red one is so captivating with the large quadruple josephine knot! Which color is your favorite? It makes such a cute decoration for my living room! I looped them around a wooden dowel and added little bows at the ends. I love the way they’re laid out in rainbow order 🌈 tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #手工制作#chineseculture #fairies by @leechipear
˘͈ᵕ˘͈⸝* 7 Celestial Fairies .☘︎ ݁˖ 7 Celestial Fairies collection dropping this week!! 🧚‍♀️ I worked really hard to make intricate designs for each fairy and tried out new knots and combos. I wanted to make a standalone post to highlight the purple one as I haven’t seen a lot of people make this design! Using a square knot to attach another set of strings, I was able to make a beaded frame around the plum blossom knot! Stay tuned for the rest of the collection! ✨💫 The seven fairies are actually the Jade Emperor and Queen Mother of the West’s daughters and are best known for interacting with Monkey King in the peach garden 🍑 as well as The Weaver and the Cowherd story where the youngest of the seven falls in love with a mortal 👀 tags: #handmadekeychain #chineseknot #手工制作#chineseculture #chinesemythology by @leechipear
