New collab alert: "Illiana" is out in the world!

Drewn by hand with oil pastels on small panels, assembled to a seemless, dreamy valley.

Picked up by @loomwell who named it "Iliana" - a name that reaches back to ancient Greek roots and reflects meanings like "shining light", "the bright one" or "light of God".

I couldn't be more happy with such a warm, luminous name for this scenic mural, or with Loomwell as a licensing partner for this iece that is dear to my heart to find a home at.

May this peel and stick scenic mural wallpaper illuminate many homes!

Picture it in an entryway, a reading nook or a storybook nursery.

Exclusively available as Peel & Stick Wallpaper at @loomwell, made to order and printed in the USA.

Loving lilacs!

First time this week that I got to sit down and paint. Gloomy autumn weather outside, a gothic novel audiobook playing and practicing floral compositions.

Color me content.

Hyacinth # 1.

Never quite sure when to stop, but think I'm gonna leave it at this.

Maybe it would have been better to film more of the making of these flower paintings. But for now, I enjoy the process so much that I refuse to think of it as content. So until I do, I'm just gonna keep posting when the tape comes of -- a gratifying moment I'm happy to share.

I've been trying to paint something daily, and gouache is the first technique that actually keeps me coming back for more.

Practicing atmospheric perspective, mountains & clouds.

Am I the only one to keep paint forever ready on the palette, then deciding each time to start fresh on another palette, because who wants to rinse of perfectly good gouache?

After trying a gazillion different palettes (spoiler, not even all of them are in the video 😅), I decided it's time to go bigger.

@meeden.art @meeden.europe offered the perfect porcelain palette.

Now I'm probably gonna spend the rest of the evening pondering what the perfect color distribution is 😂

Know the feeling of calm concentration that kicks in after the first 15 minutes of doing sports?

I get completely zen. Sweating while exorcising my inner demons. The main value of it being in the escape from my head and sinking into my body.

How much I missed that hadn't occured to me, until I found myself kicking and batting in the water during an Aqua Power session.

(Yeah, I'd never heard of it either, but it's so much fun!)

Back home I wanted to capture that feeling on paper. Watch me creat a swimmer out of water, ink and paper.

Do you recognize it?

I ended up creating more sports illustrations and thout they'd look great on fabric (something that even my teen boy would accept as bedding!).

Granted, there's a buch of different sports thrown together here, from surfing to skiing to soccer and baseball. It wasn't about one specific sports, but about capturing the action, the adventure, the rnergy and synergy of the athletes and their surrounding, props, or team mates.

Which sports do you think I should I take on next, this time more focused, and why?

Me: Buys a new ipad to have more layers in Procreate.
Also me: Drafts, draws and paints everything by hand.

Now to learn not to get too detailed in the first sketch 😅
