A lot of the things I thought mattered when I started UGC honestly don’t matter to me anymore.

After 200+ UGC jobs in three years, I’ve learned that the biggest thing holding most creators back isn’t a lack of talent—it’s overthinking everything.

I used to spend so much time researching, tweaking my portfolio, comparing myself to other creators, and waiting until everything felt perfect.

But the truth is, I started getting hired more when I stopped consuming so much and started applying what I was learning. I created, posted, pitched, followed up, and kept going.

Brands aren’t looking for perfection. They’re looking for creators who understand content, can connect with an audience, and are willing to show up consistently.

These slides are a few of the mindset shifts that helped me stop getting in my own way and start building a real business through UGC.

Which one hit home for you the most?

Comment UGC, and I’ll send you over my 30-day UGC beginner’s guide.
