Telepathy or a really great sense of timing? 🫡

Performing with a live orchestra demands more of our dancers and crew than you might think. They must constantly listen, anticipate, and adapt, staying in perfect sync with both the orchestra and each other. Meanwhile, our conductors are watching the cast, timing their direction of the musicians with what they see onstage.

In this clip: Julian Craster, the composer and pianist in The Red Shoes, has a creative breakthrough shown on stage through dance alongside the 'real' pianist in the orchestra pit.

Are you brave enough to pursue your dreams?

Becoming a professional dancer takes hard work, intense training and commitment. But we don’t always talk about the courage it takes. To know there is a chance that you won’t make it, to know that your body might not cope, to know that you’re going to have to fight for every job.

Sound ON to hear @leonardo.mccorkindale - Prince in Swan Lake, Julian Craster in The Red Shoes - as he shares his Love Letter to Dance and what it means to dream, persist and believe in yourself.
