Dear Softball, Our time together has come to an end. As I write this letter, my heart is filled with a mixture of emotions - gratitude, nostalgia, and a touch of sadness. You have been a constant presence in my life, a source of joy, challenge, and growth that I will forever cherish. From the first time I stepped onto the field to the final moments of my last game, you have been more than just a sport to me. You have been a teacher, a friend, and a companion through the highs and lows of competition. You have pushed me to my limits, tested my resilience, and rewarded me with moments of pure happiness that I will never forget. From the early morning practices to the nail-biting games under the lights, you have been a constant in my life. The friendships I have formed on the field, the lessons I have learned about teamwork and perseverance, the thrill of victory and the sadness of defeat have all shaped me into the person I am today. But as all good things must come to an end, it is time for me to say goodbye to you. I will miss the sound of the bat connecting with the ball, the feeling of dirt under my cleats, and my teammates. But I know that the lessons I have learned from you will stay with me forever. Thank you, Softball, for being more than just a game. Thank you for being a part of my journey, for challenging me to be better, and for filling my life with unforgettable moments. Thank you, softball, for the countless laughter, and the tears. Thank you for growing me into the young woman I am today. You will always hold a special place in my heart. With love, Leslie Callahan #71 💙🤍 by @leslie.saathoff
