Almost a year ago, I thought I was just enjoying a line dance event from a distance. I didn’t know I was walking into a family. 🥹

Line dancing found me during a time when some days, simply getting up felt like a lot.

I danced when I was happy. I danced when life felt heavy. I found a community I didn’t even know I needed.

To every instructor that has held a safe place for me to come learn. To everyone I’ve met on the dance floor. To every sweet soul that told me not to stop stomping my feet. To my Heavy Family. Thank you soooo much. 🫶🏼

One year. So many memories. A whole lot of love.

Life got heavy.
I kept stepping. 🤞🏽

Happy almost 1 year line dance anniversary to me. 🥹

Y’ALL… WE REALLY DID THIS. 🥹

A few weeks ago, I wanted to help teachers head into the school year feeling a little more supported.

I put it out there, and y’all SHOWED UP.

Together, we collected 100+ classroom supplies, raised over $100, and shopped from every teacher wishlist shared with me.

Did we completely clear every wishlist? Nope. But every teacher got something, every wishlist got some love, and a few teachers are starting the year with a little less coming out of their own pockets.

THAT was the whole point.

To everyone who donated, shopped, shared, or supported this drive in any way…..thank you. Seriously.😩🥹

This was my first time doing something like this, and seeing it turn into 100+ supplies for 5–6 classrooms is kinda tripping me out tbh. 😂🥹

Look what happens when everybody gives a lil 🤞🏽🫶🏼💕

Wishlists will stay in my highlights so we can shop for our teachers throughout the year. Thank you a million times !

WE DID IT BIG! 🥹🧡

Our first giveback allowed us to provide 45 meals to men at a local shelter, and we left knowing we wanted to do even more.

This time, we’re going back with a bigger goal 🫶🏽

Swipe through to see what we’re collecting, how you can help, and how you can sponsor a pan of food directly through one of our local food vendors.

This weekend, swing by to check out our Fundraiser Yard Sale! Items available vary from clothes to household items. All proceeds go to our goal of 500 units. 🥳

We’re still learning OUR way of giving back. Especially how to share the work while respecting the privacy and dignity of the people we’re serving. We’re choosing to focus more on the preparation, the community coming together, and the impact rather than putting people in vulnerable moments on camera.

We’re learning as we go, and we’d love to learn from YOU too. 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

What would you love to see Heavy do for our community next?

Drop your ideas below! 🧡

Together, we can do more. ✊🏽
