First Luna Park trip - 19 months and loving it. Had to peel him off the dodgems 🎡🚙🍦 by @lexhirst

JUICY IS BIRTHED INTO THE WORLD. 🍅

I cannot believe I am writing these words.

This book took 38 years to live and write. It contains so much of what I’ve loved, lost, learned and carried. It changed my life long before it ever reached a bookshelf. My only wish is that it does the same for anyone who needs it.

If you read it, thank you. If you gift it, thank you. If you tell a friend about it, thank you.

I hope she finds her people.

Happy book birthday, Juicy. 💗 by @lexhirst

The Hirst family has been bunkered down these last few months, seeing through Dad’s vision for his final book of words after a lifetime of filling notebooks with the phrases, ideas and expressions that would go on to become some of the most moving, anthemic, danceable and singable, memorable and downright world-changing songs ever written.
Dad had been working on this book with the incredible @eadiestuart for a couple of years when he died, and he was most of the way there - it’s full of his notes, stories and captions to photos and archival footage he chose to accompany the lyrics of his songs. All designed up so thoughtfully by the amazing @alissadinallo
Thank you immeasurably to the people who helped us fill in the gaps he didn’t quite make - all long time friends and collaborators already featured who stepped up at our request:
@jimmoginie @domturnerbacksliders @hamishstu @david_leser @seansennett and Rick Grossman.
This book is a treasure trove of the most remarkable photography, which tells its own story - a particular thanks to @adrienneoverall whose cover photo of Dad writing backstage sets the tone for the whole book. Incredible photos also by: @hamblingrobert @timtwist @chuck_bradley_photography Susan Alzner, @jrosewarne_photography @chrisso_trinder @moreimages Brendan Rohan, Jan Paul, @philmorock Craig MacLean, David Knowles, Ian Darling, M Shanahan rustycompasstravel @kooloona Lesley Holland, Mark O’Shea, @bawden_mark Mark Lang and no doubt others I’ve forgotten here, I’m sorry! And I am so grateful.
This book is truly Dad’s last mass creative collaboration - so fitting that it shares the art of so many. I can’t wait to share it, come November ❤️ by @lexhirst

A month today and the hardest part is the moments I find myself collecting little tidbits to tell him - new music he might like or totally hate, ridiculous moments with the kids, silly jokes I’d never actually be able to remember but that he’d have loved. How do you ever get used to writing about a parent using the past tense? by @lexhirst

Just baby things - a few moments from the first three months of glorious Felix by @lexhirst

Eight weeks old and we’re working out our angles together ✨ by @lexhirst

There’s nothing like having a newborn to make you grateful for the wealth of brilliant dads in your life. I’m beyond lucky to have these three in my everyday life, bringing me endless smoked salmon bagels, thoughtful musing and endless, tangible love and care for our family despite everything else going on. Watching @jumpinjimbobones parent is one of the great joys of my life. Thank you for the naps, the thousands of hours of play and the millions of hours of life admin, and for still getting us sunset swims in amongst it all ✨ by @lexhirst

Felix Robert Murray Hirst arrived earthside in the early hours of 19th July 2025. Words can’t describe what it means to meet this little guy and how lucky we all are to bring him into our family. ❤️ by @lexhirst

Constantly in awe of @l___j___m___ @adolfo_ae and the entire @liminalmag team. Their dedication to fostering and amplifying culture changing, incisive, intelligent, important work is second to none and has never felt more necessary - so I’m sharing Leah’s acceptance speech alongside the judges’ comments for their SPN Book of the Year win. So proud that @panterapress can help support these vital voices getting out into the world. by @lexhirst
