the most brilliant thing i’ve had the chance of experiencing as of late.

debuting in a one-woman show on Broadway is next-level badass. the show famously says that if you make it through life without ever feeling crushingly depressed, you haven’t been paying attention and the way she navigated that heavy, honest truth was spectacular. getting to see the earliest previews compared to her final bow yesterday—the explosion of confidence and power in her performance was absolutely palpable.

this play provided me with:
✨ two trips to my favorite city
✨ having lines in a Broadway show (twice)
✨ met SO many new friends, and some new besties who feel like long-lost sisters
✨ the opportunity to be a little girly pop + make 100 friendship bracelets to hand out
✨ starting my own list of brilliant things in a season of life that feels hard
✨ a renewed sense of recognition that despite how hard life is, there is also space to treasure the many brilliant things that make life worth living
✨ watching a phenomenal advocate, actress, leader, and woman absolutely shine during her first Broadway run.

THANK YOU @brilliantbway for presenting Mariska with the opportunity to make her Broadway debut in this show. Forever grateful for this season of life + one I’ll never forget🥹🤍 by @lexieseamons

• Deb Haaland – First Native American woman elected governor of a U.S. state (NM)
• Chris Pappas – First out gay man elected to the U.S. Senate (NH)

Like Harris reminded us in her concession speech: sometimes the fight takes a while—that doesn’t mean we won’t win.

Never stop trying to make the world a better place. I feel like I have a new, effervescent dose of hope back. Back to work we go💙

Five whole years of my sweetest girl, Miss Lady! (aka. miss ladybug, dooterhead, princess, pookie bear, burnt chicken nugget)🐞✨

I know it’s sappy, but she really is my bestie in fur form. Looking back on this year, from finding her a daycare so she feels safe and happy when I’m away, to all the silly moments that kept me laughing through the toughest days... she makes life so much better.

I truly wouldn’t want to be bossed around, pawed in the face, or dictated by anyone else’s schedule. Happy 5th Birthday, Lady Bug! Here’s to many more years of you running the house. 🥹🤍🐾 by @lexieseamons

used to be quiet about the things I love, but since I’ve started sharing about my love for the Knicks…I’ve met some of the coolest people. I wouldn’t want it any other way🥹💙🤍
