A deconstructed soccer field reimagined as a series of oversized sculptural forms for Coconut Grove during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Inspired by familiar elements of the game; cones, defensive walls, stadium seating, and the pitch. The installation transforms the language of sport into an interactive public playscape designed for exploration.

The sculptures are designed as wood-framed structures with a PVC exterior shell and high-gloss finish. Most elements stand approximately 8’ tall, with the cone reaching 10’ at its highest point.

Designed by MIRTH Studio in collaboration with estudioLAAVA and Miami Design Shop.

Profoundly proud to present another art installation designed and conceptualized for the FIFA World Cup, the City of Coconut Grove (@coconutgrovemiami) and CocoWalk by our MIRTH Studio (@knowyourmirth) in collaboration with my friends, architects, and fellow artists, estudioLAAVA (@estudiolaava).

Our friends and clients at The Underline Miami are now open in Coconut Grove!

From SW 19th Ave to SW 27th Ave, our newest segment is officially open, making The Underline 3.5 miles of connected trails.

Located in this segment are trails, bike paths, and the Leesfield family garden. It also introduces Inter Grove Gallery.

This 150,000 sq ft linear activation space was designed as a canvas for the community and will feature:

• Market space for food & beverage vendors
• Bocce ball courts
• Art plinth for rotating installations
• Interactive community bookshelf
• Column murals

In the coming months, we’ll bring the space to life with cultural events, health & wellness programs, and local food experiences.

Arriving at the Bandshell on November 30th is INFINITY MACHINE (@infinity__machine), an ambient shamanic folk music experience by DFA artists John MacLean (@thejuanmaclean) and Gregory Droggitis (@gee____dee). Having begun as a psychedelic dance ceremony, the project is an intentional, curated experience that combines meditation, movement, and sound. The performance will feature choreography by Sandra Portal Abreu (@sandra.portal.andreu), joined by a cast of dancers.

A Prayer for the Earth, Infinity Machine combines natural instrumentation with synth-derived sounds. MacLean and Droggitis make use of analog, natural, vibrational and electronic instrumentation, from bowls, gongs, shruti boxes, singing, and bells to synth-derived textures. The soulful lull of a flute, the timelessness of piano, the soft beat of hand drum, the droning whirr of synth — Infinity Machine uses a range of tools to conjure a space dedicated to communal journeys.

Infinity Machine recently released three full length cassettes of their studio recordings on influential dance music label DFA Records (@dfarecs), best known as the home of LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip.

Infinity Machine is a marquee Bandshell Laboratories program, produced by Rhythm Foundation (@rhythmfoundation) with support from the CreARTE Grant from The Jorge M.
