Hey, friends! I’m thrilled to announce that this Spring I will be running for ASUN Student Body President & Student Regent of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! My love for UNL and the Huskers started from a young age. I can vividly remember my first Husker Football game, shouting “GOOOO BIIIIG REDDDD” from the south stadium ramp. That 8-year-old girl never would’ve thought she would be running for Student Body President with some of the best leaders on campus- @benjamin__morgan , @mishajalali , @emfrech . Our campaign, Catalyst, is built on 5 pillars: Transparency, Advocacy, Engagement, Rebuild, and Servant-Leadership, all of which were carefully selected and crafted to fit the needs of the student body. My personal favorite, though, is servant leadership. Catalyst executive officers, as well as our slate of nearly 40 senators and committee members firmly believe that our role as leaders in Student Government should not simply be a resume builder, but instead come from an authentic sense of responsibility to serve those around us. Through my involvement in Chi Omega as the Personnel Chair, NHRI Leadership Mentoring as a Project Tri-Chair, the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program as a Recruitment Team Member, and the Newman Center as an Outdoor Ministry Chair, I have learned the deep satisfaction that comes from serving others. I intend to take that same fervor for service into the role of Student Body President. As Student Body President, I will increase engagement and efficiency in ASUN, build strong connections with University faculty, staff, and administration, and promote student well-being by creating opportunities for intentional encounters amongst the student body. Catalyst and I ask for your support in the ASUN Student Government Elections on April 1-2 on MyRed! Go follow @catalystunl to learn more throughout the election! by @libby_wilkins_

I can’t think of a better picture, a small-scale representation of “my circle”, to sum up National Convention. As I reflect on the past week of emotions, I can’t help but think of the most abundant emotion of all- overwhelming thankfulness. We are all simply the sum of the people who have poured into us, and I’m feeling more thankful than ever for the people who have poured into me. They are my biggest supporters, my favorite texts, and the tightest hugs on the hardest days. They push me outside of my comfort zone, laugh with me, cry with me, and constantly remind me of my “why”. They are “my circle”. To those people, thank you for being a part of this sweet, challenging, wonderful journey. by @libby_wilkins_
