📸 Photography is the story I fail to put into words.
Taking an image freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is.

Kurinji grows at an altitude of 1300 meters to 2400 metres. The plant is usually 30 to 60 cm high. They can, however, grow well beyond 180 cm under congenial conditions.

The kurinji plant belongs to the genus Strobilanthes which was first scientifically described by Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck in the 19th century. The genus has around 250 species, of which at least 46 are found in India. Most of these species show an unusual flowering behavior, varying from annual to 16-year blooming cycles.

Plants that bloom at long intervals like Strobilanthes kunthiana are known as plietesials. Other commonly used expressions or terms which apply to part or all of the plietesial life history include gregarious flowering, mast seeding and supra-annual synchronized semelparity (semelparity = monocarpy).

The Mighty Sakura - Cherry Blossom 🌸
.
Berlin’s most beautiful reminder of peace.
.
The story of Berlin’s cherry blossoms is closely tied to the end of the Cold War and the reunification of Germany.

After the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, a Japanese TV station called TV Asahi launched a fundraising campaign. Viewers in Japan donated money to celebrate German reunification and to symbolize peace and new beginnings.

With these donations, thousands of cherry trees were planted along the former border strip—especially along what is now the Berlin Wall Trail (Mauerweg). The blossoms, inspired by Japan’s “hanami” tradition, became a living symbol of unity, renewal, and friendship between Japan and Germany.

Today, every spring, Berlin’s cherry blossoms bloom along these former dividing lines, turning a once painful boundary into a place of beauty and reflection.

Auroras occur when disturbances in Earth’s magnetic field funnel charged particles from the sun toward the polar regions. As these particles enter the ionosphere, they transfer energy to atmospheric gases, exciting them. When the gases return to their normal energy state, they release that energy as visible light, creating dynamic patterns of green, pink, red, and violet across the sky.
