Another otter type day 🦦

Taken with little to no lightx🤷🌥️ by @lifesbetterwithbirds

Solitary Sandpiper in the swamp! These Sandpipers are very different than the typical species that you see on the beach.
A. They don't mind fresh water, ponds, woods
B. As the name suggests, it's not uncommon to find them totally alone or with a single mate.

This feller had been hanging out at the Beaver Pond all summer, catching bugs and other critters. I haven't seen him lately and can only assume he has since migrated to a warmer place. I never know what I'll find at the Beaver Pond. by @lifesbetterwithbirds

Had to do a reel for the dumb algorithm.. here's the full length videos of these two Juvenile Otters. They were so fun to watch.. swimming together, eating together, even cuddling together on a log. I've seen these guys for months but today was the day I got a closeup. Absolute treat.. I just love River Otters 🦦 by @lifesbetterwithbirds

Yesterday right outside my gym, I got to see a pair of Eastern Gray Squirrels with melanistic color morph. Often called "Black Squirrels" except these ones were more of a chocolate / mocha brown color. So glad I actually had my camera with me this time🐿️ by @lifesbetterwithbirds

As the Eastern Bluebirds turn from deep blue to pale blue and bright orange to a hazy rust, we know that warm weather is gone, and winter will be here soon by @lifesbetterwithbirds

Big wild Tortoise at a public park 🐢 by @lifesbetterwithbirds

Posting/Reposting these pics from this time last year. The yellow isn't from editing, it was crazy sunlight before dusk. This was my first time ever seeing a River Otter up close. I had no idea we even had Otters in my area, also didn't know that this beaver pond was full of crayfish. The past 2 weekends I've been watching 2 juvenile Otters playing around but haven't had my camera. Hopefully I'll see them again today 🙏 Happy Friday all! by @lifesbetterwithbirds
