If, like me, you take antidepressants, antipsychotics, or other mental health meds — be extra careful in the sun 🌞💊

A lot of these medications can increase: • Sun sensitivity (photosensitivity) ☀️ • Heat intolerance 🥵 • Risk of dehydration 💧

That means you can burn faster, overheat more easily, and feel unwell quicker than usual.

Stay hydrated, wear SPF, take shade breaks, and listen to your body. Your meds helping your mind shouldn’t come at the cost of your physical health 💛

I've only gone and hacked this heatwave! 🥵➡️❄️

After sitting on endless air con waitlists (and refusing to spend £1,000 😅), I found a budget-friendly way to keep the heat out.

The hack? 👇

Head to your local builders' merchant and grab a roll of thermal insulation. Clamp it to the outside of your windows and watch your house stay so much cooler.

Air con: £1,000+
This hack: £34 💸

Thank me later. 😉

BACK TO SCHOOL, YAY!! 😂🙌

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE half terms and school holidays. The days out, making memories, late mornings, fun and games… but my goodness, do I look forward to them going back! 🤣

There's only so much refereeing, snack making, breaking up arguments and hearing "MUMMMM" a thousand times a day that one person can take!

A little bit of routine, a hot cuppa in peace and some time to myself? Yes please! ☕😂

Who's with me? No judgement here, parents! ❤️

🍕 A little taste of Italy in the heart of Southampton! 🇮🇹

Come with me to Pizzeria I Fratelli on Oxford Street for a delicious little lunch date.

From their ridiculously good homemade garlic dip and soft, fluffy dough balls to fresh bruschetta with sweet balsamic glaze, we were off to a great start!

For mains, we tucked into a creamy chicken, mushroom & truffle pasta, finished with Parmesan, and a prosciutto pizza loaded with fresh rocket, cherry tomatoes and plenty of flavour. 🤌

Cosy surroundings, fresh ingredients and delicious food – what's not to love?

Now, tell me… are you a pizza folder or do you eat yours the traditional way? 👀🍕

🏖️🎨 A whole world made of sand at @sandworldweymouth

From incredible sand sculptures featuring some of our favourite characters to amazingly detailed works of art, there was so much to explore and admire.

But the fun doesn't stop at looking! The kids had their own chance to get hands-on, get creative and build little masterpieces of their own.

Such a brilliant space for inspiring little imaginations, and honestly, the level of detail in these sculptures is seriously impressive! 🏰✨

With so much fascinating history to uncover, plenty of fancy dress and just the right amount of fright, it was a Halloween adventure to remember! 🧙‍♀️💀

Who knew learning history could be this spooky?! 🎃

Pumpkin picking with a little bit of magic! 🎃🧙‍♀️
We had the best time exploring @droxfordpumpkinpatch here in Hampshire, and there's so much more to it than just picking pumpkins!
From the Wizard Broomstick Obstacle Course (the kids were flying through it! 🧹), wand making and magical potion mixing, to a little cinema hideaway and a Halloween disco full of dancing and bubbles.
There was magic, mischief and plenty of Halloween fun around every corner! The perfect autumn day out for little witches and wizards. 🪄🎃
Definitely one to add to your Halloween bucket list! ❤️

This might look like just a normal picture to you, but to me, it shows one of my biggest insecurities. ❤️

I have small, curled ears, and growing up, they were something I was bullied about. The names, the comments, the feeling of being different… they stayed with me for years longer than I ever realised.

I refused to wear my hair up until I was around 16. I spent years hiding my ears, doing everything I could to make sure nobody could see the very thing I was so self-conscious about. When I started working in professional kitchens, where having my hair up was essential, I resorted to wearing bandanas.

Imagine spending so much of your childhood worrying about a part of yourself that other people made you feel ashamed of. 💔

Then, at 25, I became a mum for the first time, and something shifted. Somewhere between the sleepless nights, the chaos, the cuddles and the messy mum buns, I stopped caring so much about my ears.

Not because they changed, but because the way I saw myself began to change.

I had bigger things to worry about, little people who loved me unconditionally, and a life that was so much bigger than the insecurities I had carried for years.

These days, the messy mum bun is part of who I am. And although I can't say every insecurity has disappeared, I'm learning that the things we were once bullied for don't have to be the things we spend our lives hiding.

To the little girl I once was, who spent years trying to hide a part of herself because other people made her feel she wasn't good enough… I'm sorry you ever felt that way. ❤️

A reminder that you never know the story behind someone's insecurities. Be kind. Your words might stay with someone far longer than you realise. 🫶🏻

🍣 Is this the best handroll sushi in Hampshire? 👀

@handrolltokyo_uk is rolling its way straight into our hearts! ❤️

From beautifully marinated tuna and flavour-packed beef teriyaki handrolls to piping-hot aji onigiri, every bite was bursting with flavour. Add in that perfectly cooked rice, fresh ingredients and the satisfying crunch of seaweed, and you’ve got sushi perfection! 🤤

Wash it all down with delicious bubble tea and refreshing sodas, and you’ve got yourself a little hidden gem worth rolling by for! 🧋🍣

Sushi lovers, this one’s a must-try! Have you visited Handroll Tokyo yet?

One day they’ll stop asking us to play,
And slowly their toys will be tucked away.
The little hands that once reached for ours,
Will find new adventures beyond our doors.
So build that Lego, play that game,
Let them call for you a thousand times again.
For one day we’ll wish for these moments once more,
When little feet came running across the floor. ❤️
