I know Milwaukee is filled with some incredible photographers (pros and amateurs alike)! 📸

I also know you have one of the most stunning subjects to photograph, right along the lakefront (ahem, me). 😉

Submit your photos using the hashtag #CaptureTheHoan & you may just end up on my feed!

For the first time ever last night, our friends at @lightthehoan and @summerfest came together to show what the lights are fully capable of. As the @thelumineers performed to a sold out show, the lights danced in real time - mimicking what was happening on stage and moving to the beat of the music. It was really inspiring to see the way the bridge dynamically changed to match the vibe of the amphitheater. What artist would you like to see under the glow of the Hoan?

A few months later and I’m still reminiscing on my 2026 Intern Challenge, presented by We Energies.

This was my largest intern challenge yet, with over 400 interns participating from 14 organizations! 🤩

Each team developed a light show for me to display, designed to showcase their company's mission, vision, and values. 🌟

If you're interested in participating in my 2027 Intern Challenge, get in touch! Next summer will be here before we know it.

It’s Election Day in America! 🗳️ The campaign commercials, the fliers, the incessant text messages all (finally) end after today. So make a plan to get out and vote today. 🇺🇸

Happy Election Day, Milwaukee!

This is your reminder to get out and vote! 🇺🇸

Crash Responder Safety Week (CRSW) is a nationwide observance to spread awareness of the dangers emergency responders face every day while working in or around live traffic.

Each evening this week, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (@wisdot) will light me up to honor a group of our first responders. They join emergency responders statewide in reminding motorists that everyone plays a role.

Slow Down. Move Over. Lives Are On The Line. ⚠️

As part of 794, I see my fair share of emergencies. I’m grateful to everyone who responds during a crash.

Monday, I’ll shine yellow for Towing & Recovery 💛

Tuesday, I’ll shine blue for Law Enforcement 💙

Wednesday, I’ll shine white and red for Fire & EMS ❤️

Throughout Wisconsin, 750 registered fire departments respond to various types of incidents, fires, and crashes on our roads.

Thursday, I’ll shine orange and green for DOT & the Highway Department 🧡

Wisconsin has more than 115,000 miles of public roads, from interstate freeways to county, city, and village roadways. These roads are maintained by our county and local highway departments. For the most part, their work is conducted in challenging traffic and weather conditions.

Friday, I’ll shine gold for Communications 💛

All too often, the great work done by these dedicated first responders goes unnoticed. They are our first call and the last call during incidents on our roadways.

Here are a few more shots of parade day, not so much the parade itself but the beautiful City of Milwaukee in the fall. The website has been updated with all of the content from the last few weeks. Thanks again @myflighttours and @tylerheuer

National Native American Heritage Month is celebrated every November to honor and uplift the rich history and contributions of Native American Peoples. ❤️

I span the Milwaukee River inlet, where the Milwaukee, Menominee, and Kinnickinnic rivers meet. This entire coastal area constitutes the homeland of the Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk, and Menomonie Nations.

This month, I’ll shine in honor of the Native American Peoples who originally called Milwaukee home, sponsored by @potawatomi_mke.

The @Brewers win, and all of Milwaukee wins! Congrats to the Brew Crew for winning the World Series. 🏆

What a fantastic opportunity to put Milwaukee on a national stage. We've known how beautiful our Midwest city is for years; it's great to show the rest of the country why we shine. 💙💛
