With Fault Lines we developed a sustainable touring model for small scale companies. Dancers really are the best people and that couldn’t be more true than with the kind and talented @morvelldance and @madisonivyburgess

Dancing together here in our stripped back duet ‘Seasoned’, Lila’s Abi had the joy of crafting this beautiful work!

Shout out from us to all the gorgeous dancers we’ve worked with across our productions and equally to those we’ve worked with in education and community settings - you lot rock!!!

We were commissioned by House to share everything we learnt through our sustainable touring model we created through Fault Lines. We hope it helps you to tour in a more environmental way. A little glimpse into the incredible work of our youth company, The Mayakaras, and the beautiful, bold creativity they brought to the stage in the @instepdanceco show. 🖤

And today, a very special shout-out to all the **fantastic dance students receiving their results**. 🎓✨

Mayakaras, all the dancers at Instep -and all the dancers we’ve worked with over the last two years, we are so incredibly proud of you — not only for the results you receive today, but for the creativity, commitment, courage and curiosity you have shown along the way.

Whatever is written on that piece of paper, remember everything you have already created, discovered and overcome.

Be proud of yourselves. You are so much more than a grade. ❤️

Keep making. Keep moving. Keep questioning. Keep dancing. Keep being brilliantly, unapologetically YOU.

With love from all of us at Lîla Dance

Celebrating 20 years of Lîla Dance

Putting together this short film has been an emotional journey, revisiting just some of the moments that have shaped the last two decades. Of course, it’s impossible to tell the full story. Some of our earliest footage can no longer be digitised, and there have been so many incredible artists, participants, partners and communities who have been part of our journey that we simply can’t capture everyone here.

To every organisation, venue, freelance artist, collaborator, funder and supporter who has believed in our work over the years, thank you. We are so grateful to each and every one of you.

As life in the arts becomes increasingly challenging, we’re choosing to look ahead with hope. We hope the years to come hold many more opportunities to create, connect and share meaningful experiences together.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has followed our journey, championed our work, joined our projects, and helped make Lîla Dance what it is today. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to the next chapter.

With love, Carrie, Abi and Lou
