Did you know that I do visual note-taking aka graphic recording for meetings? It means that I capture the gist of the conversations in text and visuals live! This is a snap shot from one of the panel discussions at #Latimer Summit this September in Philly! #visualnotetaking #graphicrecording by @liliinphilly

Celebrating the beautiful mural by Gina Kim at the bus terminal at 10th and Filbert Streets in Philadelphia!

@philaparallelparking invited us (@muralarts) to create 11 panels celebrating Philly at 1001 Filbert St, and Gina did an incredible job capturing the lives, stories, and experiences that make this city so special. She hand-drew and painted each piece, and we later transformed her original artwork into large printed panels.

Although we never had an official dedication, I want to take a moment to celebrate Gina and her wonderful work. ❤️

If you’re passing through the terminal, take a moment to look at the panels and give Gina a shout-out! Her art deserves to be seen and celebrated. 💕💕💕

Day 3 of completing the “Garden of Resilience” mural, alongside our wonderful project manager, dear Lily. ❤️🎨
Beautiful Philadelphia will soon be even more beautiful with this mural! @liliinphilly

Garden of Resilience is finally underway!

Designed by Iranian artist @nasim.bahary in Iran and being painted by lead muralist @saranamjoo.muralist , with the support of @muralarts Philadelphia.

Today we started working in the studio, hanging panels, figuring out the painting process, and getting our supplies ready!

A big thank youuuuu ❤️❤️❤️ to everyone who contributed to our GoFundMe. Your support helped us get to this point!

⏭️⏭️✨✨✨✨We’re also hoping for a second phase: adding Persian tiles around the mural to bring more of our Iranian heritage into the artwork. We need about $1,500–$2,000 to make that happen.

Sara and I are both doing this project pro bono, so all contributions go directly toward materials, production, and installation.

If you’re interested in supporting the tile phase, send me a DM. And please share this with anyone who might want to be part of it.

Excited to finally see this project taking shape! ❤️✨✨✨🌟🌟 by @liliinphilly

Love local placemaking efforts! #chalkart by @liliinphilly

Officially lift certified! 🎖️

As a project manager working on murals and tall buildings, I wanted to better understand the equipment, safety precautions, and what my crew actually experiences up there.

I made it to 27 feet 😅 We could’ve gone higher, but that was my limit!

Seriously, respect to everyone who works on a lift. It is NOT easy. by @liliinphilly

A huge thank you to everyone who helped amplify this project and supported us in bringing #Nasim_Bahari ‘s Iranian mural to life through @muralarts 💜

We’re finally about to get started! We have the wall, our lead muralist, and I’ll be managing the project and helping bring everything together.

It’s been a long journey getting to this point, and I’m so grateful to everyone who shared the project, donated, encouraged me, or helped along the way. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Can’t wait to share what comes next. by @liliinphilly

This is #placemaking and creating sense of place!
Form: The plaza, the pond and the sculpture
*A monumental, 50-foot-tall untitled Cor-Ten steel sculpture by #pablo_picasso anchors the space.*
Activity: music and opening the floor for people to celebrate, some resting their feet at the pond and kids sliding down from the sculpture- I don’t think the artist intended that 😄 but why not?!
Meaning: I stopped there as a tourist and thought this is a place that embraces all people and activities. I wonder what Chicago residents think about this plaza…
Any ideas?

This Plaza is designed in 1965 by Jacques Brownson of C.F. Murphy Associates. It reflects modernist architectural principles. by @liliinphilly

It was an honor to be in #longbeachcali for this Week of Action 🌿🍽️🎨 thanks to @letscookmessy and @placemakingus

There was so much happening around food, art, farming, community, and finding better ways to bring people together — from making food distribution feel more welcoming, to community meals, mural restoration, foraging, conversations around healthier food, and celebrating the chefs and farmers who feed our communities.

I was especially excited to be part of Chefs, Farmers and Friends at Veterans Memorial Pier, where I led a drawing workshop called Memories, Magic and El Mar 🌊

We drew and talked about our memories, dreams, feelings, and associations with the shore — and explored what came up when we thought about our relationship with the water and this place.

I also really enjoyed the Mural Best Practices Luncheon and the conversations between Mural Arts Philadelphia, Arts Council for Long Beach, Long Beach Walls, and all the mural-obsessed people in the room 😄

A few days full of food, art, conversations, and community in Long Beach. My kind of week 💛 by @liliinphilly

I’m noticing more and more sidewalk stencil advertising. It targets pedestrians at ground level where they are already looking. These street-level campaigns for product launches, events, and local storefronts.
Have you seen them around?! #stenciladvertising by @liliinphilly

We’re so close! 🥹

This Persian mural is one step closer to becoming a reality in Philadelphia. We have Nasim’s consent to use her beautiful artwork, @muralarts is on board to support the project, and now we need to close the funding gap.

$1,080 left to go!

If you want to see this mural happen, donate, share this post, or tag someone who might want to be part of making it possible.

And this won’t just be a mural to look at—we’re planning a way for the community to leave their own messages and become part of the final installation. ❤️

Help us get there by August 31! Link in bio.
