SOMATIC BODYWORK FOR DUOS - Workshop

12.-13.12.2026
11:00-17:00

Welcome to a two-day workshop for duos: Co-regulating and play through different qualities of touch, with Lindon Shimizu and Kaisa Kukkonen.

What happens when we slow down and develop touch as a way of sensing, listening and relating?

Drawing on Body-Mind Centering® and consent practices, we explore how different qualities of touch can support safety, presence and co-regulation. Moving from skin to fascia, flesh and bones, we notice how each tissue offers its own kind of contact, weight, support and connection.

Consent is part of the practice. We practise asking, listening, expressing preferences and making choices around physical contact. You can choose the kind of contact you want, adjust its intensity, change direction, pause or decline at any time. No particular form of touch or level of intimacy is expected.

✨ Come with a partner, a friend, a family member or anyone you’d like to experience the workshops together with
✨ No previous experience in somatic practices needed
✨ Limited to 6 duos to keep the space intimate

📅 12–13 Dec 2026, Sat–Sun, 11:00–17:00

One last gaze at Pöhinäpaku in Joen Yö 2026 through @valveunipic lens 🚐💨

Pöhinäpaku will keep searching for artists and unexpected places to inhabiting in Finland! by @lindon.shimizu

Tästä on hyvä jatkaa Pöhinäpaku-matkaa, lisää taidetta, lisää kohtaamisia ja lisää paikkoja, jotka voivat hetkessä muuttua näyttämöiksi. 🚐✨

________

A huge thank you to Joen Yö and to everyone who stopped by Pöhinäpaku! ❤️

Pöhinäpaku was born from the idea that any place can suddenly become a stage and Joen Yö was a beautiful reminder of how powerful it can be to bring art into the middle of the city, into unexpected places and into our everyday surroundings.

A special thank you to Bereniken Hiukset and Vertti for your presence, courage and for bringing your art into Pöhinäpaku. And thank you to everyone who helped build, support, document, share and experience this day with us. ✨

The Pöhinäpaku journey continues, bringing more art, more encounters and more unexpected places to life as stages. 🚐✨ by @lindon.shimizu
