🚶🏻‍♀️ I love when something can feel a little imperfect and handmade without actually having to be frame-by-frame 👀✨

so, I had way too much fun playing with this full-body character rig and seeing what I could do with texture, all while keeping it fully rigged with Joysticks ’n Sliders 🕹️ @aescripts

🔗 I teach you how to create this look at my Gumroad link in bio! 🩷

🤓 I challenged myself with this rig to see how far I could push it to get that textured, hand-drawn feel despite it all being vector shapes ✨

A few effects, some looping brushstrokes, and a lower frame rate later… here we are 👆

Part 2

Shoutout to @lindsey.motion for her heroic contributions rigging and animating characters for this piece. Under the gun of a ridiculous deadline, she nailed each scene on her first go.

🎨 A little texture can go a long way!

🤝 you asked, I’m here to answer! ✨

I just dropped a short tutorial breaking down how I built this character rig and how to get that textured, hand-drawn look in After Effects! ✏️💻

this came from a fun personal challenge I gave myself—seeing how far I could push a rigged character style using texture, and simplifying my whole workflow from Illustrator setup → rigging with @aescripts Joysticks n Sliders → Procreate textures → final animation in After Effects

it’s quick, but it shows the process I use in my own work 😊

if you’ve ever wanted to peek behind the scenes of how I make these, it’s up now! link in bio 🔗💛

☀️ I recently created over a dozen character rigs for an animation series at @boncom.motion. this lil guy was one of my favorites!👆💕

💖 four years of motion in one reel!

a mix of some of my favorite projects from the past couple years at @boncom.motion plus some personal projects too! 💕

I feel really grateful for every project I’ve been able to be a part of, including the many that didn’t make the reel, and that I get to do what I love every day.

thanks for following along on my journey. here’s to many more years of motion! ✨

forever grateful for @aescripts and the joysticks n sliders plugin! 🫶
