You simply cannot compare two journeys that are nothing alike.

I always say about only ever comparing yourself to a past version of yourself… but I’ve realised even that isn’t always healthy when the conditions behind those versions are completely different.

This postpartum journey with Max has been nothing like my journey with Luci.

Same stage of life. Same role. Completely different reality.

When I had Luci I was 29. More sleep. More recovery time. A different pace of life around me.

Now I’m 34. I’ve had a section the same as with Luci but this time I had my tubes removed in the process. I now have 3 cesarians under my belt including Olivia 12 years ago.I’ve had a shorter gap between pregnancies, and I’m although I’m running a business similar to with Luci, I’m no longer running it alongside my husband, I had 5 weeks less maternity leave , alongside raising three children.

My capacity is totally different …and it has to be.

One of the biggest differences this time has been sleep.
For months we were surviving on around 4 hours of broken sleep. Then we slowly started getting just a couple of extra hours… and everything shifted.

From 4 hours to around 5.5–6 hours on average.
And within two weeks, my body changed noticeably.
Not because I was doing more.
But because I was finally recovering more.

That was a real wake-up moment for me.
Because it made me realise how unfair it is to compare versions of yourself without comparing the conditions you were living in too.

This isn’t about better or worse.
It’s not about doing well or doing badly.
It’s just a different version of motherhood… and a different version of me.

So I’m learning to let go of comparison where it doesn’t serve me anymore, and accept this season exactly as it is.

Different baby.
Different body.
Different me.
And I’m choosing to let that be enough. by @linzicarrino

Remember the British rowing team that struggled for years before their breakthrough at the Sydney Olympics? I’ve referenced them in many mindset calls and read books about their mindset shift and it fascinates me…

The thing is, they didn’t just train harder…they transformed every part of their lives by asking one simple question before every action:

“Will this make the boat go faster?”

They changed how they trained, yes, but also how they ate, rested, communicated, and supported one another. They cut out distractions and excuses, focused on discipline and teamwork, and made sure every decision was purposeful.

It wasn’t about being perfect or strict all the time, it was about zoning in on what truly mattered and giving that their full attention.

That lesson applies to us, too. We don’t need to be rigid or flawless every moment, but when it counts, we need to be intentional. Saying yes to the easy option here and there won’t derail us, but those repeated small choices build momentum, either toward growth or comfort.

Delayed gratification isn’t about denial; it’s about investing in your future self by choosing what actually propels you forward, whether that’s in your habits, your mindset, or your relationships.

So next time temptation comes knocking, ask yourself:
“Will this make my boat go faster?”

Because your daily decisions, big and small, are steering the course of your life…make sure you’re rowing toward the finish line you want. 🤍✨ by @linzicarrino

No one panic. I have qualifications. And a business. Just not a salary. 😂🫠

The reality of being a group fitness instructor AND studio owner.

One minute you’re motivating a room full of women to believe in themselves, the next you’re cleaning toilets, making playlists, answering messages and wondering where all the money went. (Spoiler: straight back into the studio.)

But in amongst the chaos, the long days, the self-doubt and the never-ending to-do lists, there’s something pretty special about creating a space where people feel like they belong. 🖤

Would I change it? Ask me after I’ve paid myself. 😂

Just revelling in the chaos 🥰😆… However, mum has confiscated the nerf gun for now because the biggest child (@coachcarrino ) gets too carried away 😂 by @linzicarrino

9 months of Max 🩵🥹

How could 9 months of pregnancy not go in this fast 😂? And how could 9 months since he arrived into our lives not go as slow as pregnancy 😭!?

Our little final puzzle piece…so so blessed 💫✨ by @linzicarrino
