Cafecitos are still happening even in this busy season! 🥰☕️🧡
That is why I started my Cafecito & Friendship Dates so we can take this time to slow down and minister to one another. We can’t and shouldn’t do life alone. Thank you @lisa.lemonade for meeting with me. You are strong, courageous, and a woman of faith! I am blessed to know you 🧡 by @lisa.lemonade

Part of the victory story - My son - Orchestra Master performed in Concert Orchestra BHS this week.

Think about where we were 5 years ago - he was a 7th grade drop out.

He went from dropping out of school in 7th grade when our home life was so bad nothing seemed to matter then… when I intervened it ended up meaning transferring him through 4 middle schools … which could feel like failure on paper…. But look at him now. He has been in one high school and has chosen to become his best self now.

In addition to his Straight A report card, all honors and AP classes, he is orchestrated master. And music is new for him! He just started learning music in sophomore yr of high school, compared to everyone who had been learning for years prior and made it to first chair of the Top Orchestra, making him Orchestra Master, the best of the best. He also is choosing to lead worship with me a couple times a week now, which is something I hadn’t even imagined doing together yet alone twice a week.

This is why we fight for better days. This is why we don’t give up hope. There is greatness ahead if we dare to believe it.

And forgive me for bragging. I do it to remind myself of the good cuz there’s still really hard days for this mama

Keep moving forward, and do it victoriously by @lisa.lemonade

After 17 years of marriage, leaving was IMPOSSIBLE. I had tried countless times. Finally, an auntie asked me to come help her (stay with her) for ONE WEEK.

One week saved our lives.

We packed our backpacks and left in an uber to the train station. I was on autopilot. But I just kept putting one foot in front of the other. I still am.

If you or anyone you know cannot leave, don’t be mad at them or yourself. Anger doesn’t help. Change the plan from leaving forever, to leaving just a short amount of time. One week mentality saved my life. #dvsurvivor #domesticviolence #domesticviolencesurvivor #leave #yourenotalone by @lisa.lemonade

My son and I leading worship together these last few weeks has been such an incredible experience. He is so easy to work with, so encouraging, has such a good spirit in it all. That’s hard to come by and I don’t take it lightly. We blend so easily it’s wild. I am spoiled by these moments together by @lisa.lemonade

I hear the sunset was the remnants of Hurricane Marie - reminding us that sometimes, if we just step back enough to look from the right angle, we can see beauty in the storm.

Whatever storm you’re in, remember it will end, keep going, don’t give up. One day you’ll see the beauty from the ashes by @lisa.lemonade
