What’s love got to do with it? Ahhhhh, a LOT! by @lisaratnermatchmaking

Maddie’s single - so would she let a matchmaker take over the search?

Hayley asks the question, and Maddie shares why she’d happily swap hours of scrolling for introductions to people who actually make sense for her.

Would you do the same?

Should women send the first message? Hayley’s answer: immediately yes.

You’ve already swiped right. Why wait to say hi?

We spend a lot of time asking about you, so here’s a little more about us

Hayley is happiest in the mountains or spending a lazy Sunday with her family. She’ll always order a Caesar salad and a Diet Coke, has a soft spot for anything oversized and is very happy to talk all things Bravo, especially Real Housewives.

Lisa will happily plan a wander around bakeries and farmers’ markets, always wants to try the local treats when travelling, and has been doing plenty of baking herself lately. She loves Pilates, anything miniature and that first sip of coffee in the morning.

A few of our favourite things, beyond making introductions. What’s one of yours? by @lisaratnermatchmaking

Lisa and Hayley, the matchmakers behind Curated Dates Collective.

We get to know you, what matters to you and who you’re looking for — then put some thought into who you should meet.

I have enough crazy date stories to write a book. And don't worry, someday I will.

A few highlights:

Half a roll of duct tape as a moving gift. How thoughtful?

A romantic guitar serenade at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, complete with rats running through the parking lot. Not kidding.

And the guy who told me he'd leave if I didn't look like my photos AND had a booty call on standby.

You can't make this stuff up.

After decades of dating, here's something I wish I'd learned sooner:

Laugh more. Stress less. Stop treating every first date like an audition for your future spouse.

Dating can be frustrating, exhausting, and downright disappointing. But it can also be fun, especially when you give yourself permission to enjoy the experience instead of obsessing over the outcome.

It's something Hayley (@cohengrayconnections) and I remind our clients of all the time. And having a matchmaker or dating coach in your corner means you've got someone to help you keep perspective, stay open, and laugh off the occasional disaster.

Now it's your turn. What's your most ridiculous dating story? I know you've got one.

3 years married today. 9 years together. ❤️

I got married about 20 years later than most of my peers, and it took me a minute (or two or three or four) to admit that yes, I really did want to get married.

I wanted to marry him. I wanted the wedding and the party. I wanted to stand up in front of the people we loved and choose each other, officially.

Maybe one of the biggest things I’ve learned is to stop worrying about when something is “supposed” to happen and be honest with yourself about what you actually want.

And little did I know that within two months of our wedding, I’d quit the career I’d spent more than 20+ years building and decide to become a matchmaker. Apparently, getting married wasn’t the only thing I was finally ready for. 🤣

Happy anniversary, Ori. Nine years in, I’d choose you all over again, and again and again.

And I’m really glad we had one hell of a party. ❤️ by @lisaratnermatchmaking
