Welcome Home 2022♡ I'm so excited to have my first Christmas🎄 in our new home. I didn't want to over crowd the space with a lot of trees. I'm enjoying tall pencil trees I bought from Michael's. I used minimal decoration on the tree in the dining room, kitchen and at the top of the stairs. These trees are very affordable and don't take up a lot of room.

I'm ready for Thanksgiving and for family that will come share time with us in our new home.

A few tips to make your home feel cozy and not crowded is to layer. My go to list is:

Your basic furniture set up- couches, dining table etc. Then:
Pillows- all textures, patterned, solid, Fluffy, neutral colors.
Textured throws, blankets on back of seats and corners of couches.
Baskets with extra throws or decorative pillows.
Rug- under coffee table, dining room, kitchen.
Side tables that are wood. Wood adds warmth to any room. I love wood in any shades.
Pick a metal accent- gold or silver and add touches. Candlesticks work great to bring this element and height also.
Candles- I always have a pretty candle on display and glowing.

All these layers bring a room together. I hope this helps you add coziness to your home. Follow for more ideas in making your home cozy and beautiful no matter the size.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving together with who you Love ♡

Thanks for being here with me!
Lissa ♡

It's been an awesome year 2023! We moved here a year and a half ago in June. We left our home my husband built with his Dad where we lived for 15 years. I cried for a month leaving all the memories of our babies growing and moved.

We've made new memories here and it slowly became a home for us. Our new lake home has been a transition as we're further out from the city and away from friends and family. That's been the hardest. Nevertheless I used decorating to channel the adjustment and emotions, this is a year of therapy. 😁

Thank you for being here with me! Happy New Year to you and remember it's never too late to embark on a journey that is scary and new, you may surprise yourself and find joy you never knew ♡ See you on the other side! I believe in you!!

I hope to inspire you to make your home your own and one you love.

But, I think I love Fall most of all . . .♡

My favorites are the items from Ohio I bought antiquing with family. The Royal Dalton vintage mug on the dining room table, the buckeyes in the gold scalloped vase and the pods in the big glass hurricane are my favorite finds.

Antiquing for the win here ♡ Bringing in some unique Fall touches that warm my heart! Happy Fall decorating my friends!

I love a good whimsical centerpiece with Fall stems just kind of casually draping and cascading a gentle hello to the season. I wanted it to feel light in this space and not a heavy arrangement. These stems and berries from @hobbylobby did just that!

I love this wicker vase and the feminine figure paired with the masculine plaid from a Pottery Barn pillow cover shown last year by my friend Sarah @laughlovelangella
Such a great fabric and pattern!

I've been crazy busy but, am so excited to see your homes for Autumn! Here we goooo! Like and follow for more great Fall home inspiration!

I love my driftwood trees and I don't care what anybody thinks, they're my friends! 😂

My beautiful obsession with these trees started a few years ago, so much so I don't put them away after Christmas! They are in the loft on display for us to enjoy all year!

What's your obsession!😎

Home lately, I fell in love with this wooden swan and decorated her for 4th of July, draped her with an American scarf, and call her Bashful Betty, 😂 She's just a demure, poised, swan that adds just a sweet, whimsy feel to this bench in the primary bedroom. I have moved her many places and she looks great everywhere. I think what I like most is that it's a fun piece so everything doesn't feel so serious. It's fun and unexpected. I love that!

I also love my brass duck fireplace pokers I have in the vase with new Fall stems. I love the change touches of Fall bring, even though it's July, I love starting to sprinkle Fall here and there ♡ These vintage textile blocks I found at a local store and love how @hannahnaylor uses them in her decor. They are amazing and I couldn't believe I found a Fall one with leaves!

Have you started to Sprinkle touches of Fall too?!
