📚 Hi, welcome to my Bookstagram introduction! I’m the other half of Literary Labyrinth ✨

My life is chaotic, and I rarely get much time to read — so finishing one book a month feels like a huge win! 🎉 If you love books but find it hard to squeeze in reading time (or you’re a slow reader like me), come follow along for realistic reading goals, book recommendations, and all good book vibes. 💕

So tell me — what should I be reading?🤔

I recently got the Pumpkin Spice Cafe cookbook and thought I’d put it to the test by baking some cinnamon buns.

The instructions were very easy to follow, although I may have gone a bit overboard on the icing. I think that’s the best bit. Also I loved all the pictures and knowing where the recipes fitted into each story.

Have you got the cookbook and have you been doing any autumnal baking?

Met the wonderful @hannahnicolemae for a book signing at Starlin's amazing bookshop @badgirlbooksuk 📚 🌟 ❤️

Love the Assistant to the Villian so it was nice to finally get my book signed and have a wee chat.

@starlinsbookshelf put on an amazing spread of butter beer drinks and sweet treats. I took home a yummy cupcake.
Still can't get over the cake book and its ability to turn pages.

An excellent visit and a shop worth making a trip to 🛍

My reading went a bit spooky in the run up to Halloween. Compared to last month I didn’t have that many 4/5 star reads.

I started the month with the #letssplitup series by @billwoodauthor and maybe an unpopular opinion but I felt book two ‘be right back’ was better than the first. I’ve still got book three #onelastscare to read in November. let’s see if it gets better.

Frida’s #braindamage was ok. One of her first books and I think she’s got a lot better reads since publishing this one. But it was an interesting story.

My only 4 star read this month was #thetruthsweburn by @author.montyjay and wow so much better than hollow boys book one. I read this so fast and I’m currently reading book three! I’d very much recommend this book if you’re looking for a dark romance.

Finally #acourtofsplinteredharmony what to say?!? It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. There was quite a focus on breast feeding which I thought was unnecessary. I mean sleep deprivation should have been touched on more if we are delving into the third trimester and when did Azrial turn into an emo?🖤.

Anyway an ok month for reading. I hope November improves with some more 4 star and possibly 5 star reads. by @literarylabyrinthpodcast

Sunday visit to the @portybooks store. I actually didn’t realise what a selection of special editions and signed books they had, especially in the fantasy section. Well worth a visit.

I also got my @calliehartauthor signed paperback of #quicksilver!

Took a visit to the @enchantedspine Romantasy Popup Bookstore in Camden. It's final day is today, Halloween 🎃...before they go back to being online only.

Great purchases and great chat with the owner, Courtney.

Check them out! 📚 🛍

I have finished #ACOSH.
I have thoughts. I will not spoil anything here and will address said thoughts on our podcast episode on Tuesday. This will have spoilers and be clearly labelled as such.

I am now off to scream at the wind. Happy Friday!
