And you were just as satisfying ☕️ My annual reshare of a lovers day poem inspired by my own lover. 7 years together is a bit wild, but this might just be the most love filled one yet 🥰🤭💍 Happy lovers day friends, I hope you eat some good chocolate today (if that’s your thing) 🍫 #valentinespoem #loverspoem #lovepoem #valentinesday #loversday by @lizfair_
Wishing you a soft spill into 2026 🤍 I know it’s tempting to rebrand yourself & overhaul your entire life at the end of each year, and maybe that works for some people, but it’s okay if that’s not for you. It’s still winter. It’s still a season of rest & reflection. Of curling up with your warm drink & your book. Of sleeping those few extra moments. That’s a perfectly good way to start a year too 🥹 Happy (almost) New Year friends. I hope it’s gentle with you 🤍 #poetryandprose #wordsforthesoul #poetryforthesoul #newyearsresolution #hello2026 by @lizfair_
Another holiday season wrapped 🎄 Highlights include - ladybug visits, handmade gifts, cat bongos, cookie decorating, 2nd annual book exchange, & being able to breathe through our noses again by Christmas 🤧🤭 #merrychristmas #christmas2025 #happyholidays #homeforchristmas #photodump by @lizfair_
Happy Solstice friends 🕯️ I’ve been think about winter a lot lately. If I’m honest, I think I’ve been thinking about winter since the last time she & I crossed paths. And I’ve been thinking about seeds, wondering if they feel lost up until the point that their heads finally breech the surface come Spring. If growth is meant to feel this way for people too. If sometimes it’s supposed to feel dark until suddenly, one day, it’s not. I don’t quite know what to make of that thought yet, but it brings me a quiet kind of comfort nonetheless. I hope you can find your own comforts this season. I hope you keep reaching for the light 🤍 #poetryandprose #wintersolstice #wordsforthesoul #poetryforthesoul #hopecore by @lizfair_
People have seasons too 🤍 I often think that I’d be much more comfortable changing if there was no one around to witness it. If I could remove myself from all of the people familiar with the old version of me so there’s no one to point out the difference. So that I don’t have to make justifications or explain myself. But then I catch myself staring it awe as one season slowly slips into another. I think about how the earth changes all the time, and the way we honor it. The way we at times wait with bated breath just to catch a glimpse of it. Because change is natural. It’s essential. It’s proof that life keeps going 🍂 I hope you give yourself permission to become whatever version of yourself you need right now 🤍 #poetryandprose #poetryforthesoul #wordsforthesoul #poeticmusings #poeticreveries by @lizfair_
There is a comfortable silence that falls alongside the snow and my soul aches for the gentle touch of it. A soft cushion against an increasingly loud world. A soothing balm for a restless soul. A very good kind of quiet 🤍 #poetryandprose #wordsforthesoul #poetryforthesoul #snowfall #writersofinstagram by @lizfair_
Life lately 📖☁️🍵 When the words won’t flow out, let life flow in 🖋️ I’ve always believed that there is a natural rhythm to creativity - that we aren’t meant to create at the rate that social media wants to consume. I work hard to honor that rhythm in me (even when it makes me want to kick & scream against it). So, no, I’m not in a season of writing right now, but rather a season of living. And yes, somedays I feel a little unmoored, but most days I just feel more present ♥️ Plus it creates a great time to consume other people’s words 📚 #lifelately #oliviadean #writerlife #creativelife by @lizfair_
Autumn always offers me the gentlest, yet most potent, reminders 🍁 It never ceases to amaze me that one of the most beautiful times of the year is simultaneously a time of death & decay. That fall is one last burst of color before the earth goes dark for winter. A reminder that even endings can be breathtaking 🥹🤍 #autumnpoetry #poetryandprose #poetryforthesoul #gentlereminder #poetrycommunity by @lizfair_
I heard garden proposals were kind of a big deal this August 💍 (Mind you, mine was a vegetable garden, but I think it still counts 😂). 8/20/25 🤍 #thesummerisaidyes #isaidyes #engaged #heputaringonit by @lizfair_
If I’m being transparent, I haven’t put my pen to paper in months, but I HAVE — 🎂 made spice cake 4 times 🍵 sipped on many an afternoon tea ⛵️waded into a few lakes 🤍 celebrated 6 years with my person 🪳 listened to the cicadas chirp 📚 read books that made me ugly cry 🫛eaten food fresh from the garden 🌅 soaked up the summer sunsets 🌱 seen a stick bug in the wild The words can wait for now 🤍 by @lizfair_
My sixth & sweetest summer with you ♥️ by @lizfair_
Life is already short & fast enough, please don’t make it go any faster 🤍 Please let me find comfort with the things that take time 🥹 Hope these words make someone out there feel a little less alone in this modern age. I see you ❤️‍🩹 #prosepoetry #poetryforthesoul #wordsforthesoul #poetrycommunity #writersandpoets by @lizfair_
