POSTS STORIES REELS

This song has been one of the most meaningful projects I’ve ever been part of. When Menucha approached me and shared the raw, honest poem written by a woman who had turned to them for support — along with their own response back to her — I felt something immediate and powerful. I knew I had to turn their words into music.

The song was written from a place of deep vulnerability, strength, and hope. It carries the voice of someone who was struggling… and the voice of those who held her through it. Being trusted to bring these emotions to life is something I will never take for granted.

Recording it brought up so many feelings — of compassion, connection, and the reminder that no one should ever have to face their hardest moments alone. So many of us move through pain in silence… the quiet, confusing, aching kind of suffering that we don’t always have the words for. I felt that deeply while working on this.

My hope is that this song becomes a gentle hand for anyone who needs one. A reminder that your feelings are real, your story matters, and support does exist. And I hope it speaks not only to those walking the path of postnatal depression, but to anyone in any situation who is carrying pain. There is always help out of it.

Thank you, Menucha, for the honour of being part of this. And to anyone who listens — you are not alone.

💛
Liz

ANI MAAMIN- FULL SONG

Sometimes, there are no words. Its usually during these times that I turn to music and prayer and that is how this song came about.

Sometimes we feel such unimaginable pain, we question whether it might just be a nightmare that we cant seem to wake up from. It infringes on our daily tasks making them much heavier and mundane, whilst the world around us just seems that much darker and difficult to bear. My hope is that this song uplifts you, gives you strength and resonance with our ultimate purpose amongst the noise of hardship.

The most incredible thing about Am Yisrael is that even when our emotions fit the above description, we are not beaten by it for the simple fact that we have our secret weapon- our ever lasting covenant with Hashem which has lasted through all the generations before us, protecting us, building us and ultimately giving us the resilience needed to continue. We are not alone.

Whilst we try to figure out our new normal, there is one thing that gives me hope beyond hope. that there will be a time when all pain and suffering will cease to exist and all the nations of the world will know that Ein Od Milvado with the coming of Mashiach. We are told that we should await Mashiach every day of our lives so that when we reach the heavenly gates, we can answer in the affirmative.

Mi Keamcha Yisrael? Who is like the people of Israel? That in our toughest time, we bond stronger than ever. We put aside our differences to let love, kindness and charity prevail. We are a worldwide community that will do whatever it takes for our brothers and sisters. Pain for some is pain for all, and together, we uplift and support each other through love, strength and unity. It is exactly in this merit of ahavas chinam that we will bring Mashiach!

May we continue to see each other in the light of Ahava. May we and our soldiers stay strong and protected. May we turn to Hashem in prayer and daven that our exile come to an end and may we merit to see Mashiach bimhera b’yamenu. by @liztatz_

Come make challah with me and my bestie 🩷 by @liztatz_

There's quite a lot I want to say about this one... ❤️

Welcome to my world!

I've spent so many years exploring and developing different sides of my creativity.

Cooking and baking have become a big part of my working life, but they're also things I genuinely love doing. And creating, filming and sharing what I make has brought a whole new element of fun into it.

Music has been part of my life since I was a little girl, and over the years I've been fortunate to explore that passion in different ways too.

Through it all, Torah and family have always been the foundations of my life, shaping my choices and priorities. And being able to share little pieces of Torah through my videos, hopefully helping others connect with their own roots, is something especially close to my heart.

Of course, different stages of life have allowed for different things. And I'm finding so much joy in being at a stage where I have the opportunity to embrace more of these different sides of myself.

I think sometimes we feel we need to find that one thing that defines us. That to belong or succeed, we need to choose a lane and stick to it.

But we're constantly growing and evolving. Our interests, talents and passions don't have to fit neatly into one box.

I'm learning to embrace the opportunities Hashem sends my way, to keep exploring, creating and enjoying the different things that make me, me.

And if there's one thing I'd love my children to take with them as they grow, it's that they should never feel they have to limit themselves to just one version of who they can be.

And I think that's something worth celebrating. ❤️ by @liztatz_

This is what happens when im procrastinating instead of getting on with my to do list... I find old videos and think hmmm, ill share that. Anyhoo, this ones for the Disney princesses amongst you 💫👑🧜‍♀️ by @liztatz_

Thank you SO much for all the love on this cake!🍰
💙

I’ve honestly been a little blown away by the response. Reading all your comments and messages has been so lovely.
There’s something quite amazing about cake and how universal it is. We all have birthdays, celebrations and memories that somehow involve cake — and I love that something I have so much fun creating can make people stop, smile, talk and connect.
That’s always been one of my favourite things about making cakes. I love the creative side of it, and it’s also just really good fun making cakes that don’t look like cake! But most of all, I love the joy around them — the reactions, the conversations and the people they bring together.
This one was particularly special to me because of the story behind it, so seeing how much you all enjoyed it too has made it even more special.
Thank you for every like, comment, share and lovely message. I’ve read them all and I really do appreciate them. ❤️ by @liztatz_

This cake was a really special one to make. 💙

My mother-in-law, amongst many other things, is a talented artist, and she creates the most beautiful hand-painted silk challah covers. So for her birthday, I wanted to take something that represents her art and recreate it in my medium.

The idea was to make a challah board that looked as real as I could possibly make it — two challahs, a wooden board and one of her silk challah covers draped over the top… except absolutely everything you see is cake and completely edible.

I used several of my mother-in-law’s designs as inspiration for the cover, trying to recreate her distinctive lettering and style, and to capture the beautiful free-flowing colours and silver detailing of her silk work in fondant.

There were definitely a few moments along the way when I wondered whether the idea in my head was actually going to translate into cake 😅 — particularly when it came to draping that cover! — but watching it all finally come together was incredibly satisfying.

And the best part? She loved it. ❤️

A little piece of her art, recreated through mine. Happy birthday. 💙 by @liztatz_

Welcome to the Yom Kippur edition of Women & Wisdom. 🤍
In this conversation, we explore the practical expectations of Yom Kippur — what the day asks of us in a practical sense — and what those expectations can teach us on a spiritual level.
How can the practical expectations of Yom Kippur help us grow spiritually, make meaningful changes, and become better versions of ourselves for the year ahead?
We hope you enjoy our conversation and take something meaningful with you into your Yom Kippur and beyond. ✨ by @liztatz_

STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING
(by Liz Tatz)
Ingredients:

2 oz (55 g) soft margarine

6 oz (170 g) sugar

8 oz (225 g) self-raising flour

6 oz (170 g) chopped dates (checked; approximately 9 Medjool dates)

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 tsp baking powder

1 egg

½ pint (300 ml) boiling water

1 tsp baking soda

SAUCE

10 oz (285 g) soft brown sugar

6 oz (170 g) soft margarine

8 tbsp (120 ml) parve whip

METHOD
Preheat the oven to one hundred and eighty degrees Celsius and lightly oil a baking dish. A square foil pan works well, or use a nine-by-thirteen-inch pan for a larger pudding.
Measure the boiling water into a jug. Add the chopped dates and baking soda, mix, and set aside.
Cream the margarine and sugar together, then add the egg and mix. Add the vanilla essence, self-raising flour and baking powder, and mix well.
Slowly add the date mixture and mix until smooth and well combined. Pour into the prepared dish and bake for about forty minutes.
For the sauce, heat the soft brown sugar, margarine and parve whip in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until melted and gently bubbling, then remove from the heat.
Check the pudding with a skewer—it should come out clean. Poke small holes all over the sponge, then pour the warm sauce evenly over the top, allowing it to soak in.

You may want to keep a little of the sauce aside for extra pouring when serving. Alternatively, you can make some extra sauce specifically for this.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy!
