Couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day if I tried. ❤️ A true New England fall day. 13.1 miles, happy and healthy, pounding the pavement next to some of the best friends a person could ever ask for. Almost three years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and had absolutely no idea what was possible. Today, I walked a half marathon at the @thejimmyfund Walk. Somehow, the 13.1 miles weren’t even the part that got me. My morning started with so many texts from friends and family who remembered this day. No reminder needed. Then I got to the Walk and checked in at Top 250 registration. Are you kidding me?! 😭 Friends. Family. Industry friends from all over the country. People from different chapters of my life. People I haven’t talked to in years. People I’ve never even met. You showed the f*ck up. Together, we raised more than $24,000 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. And I walked those 13.1 miles wearing a bib that said I was the #14 individual fundraiser. Again...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Having some of my best friends walk every single one of those miles beside me meant more than I can say. They signed up for this crazy idea, showed up and pounded the pavement by my side. I will never forget that. Some of you donated for me. Some for your mom, your sister, your husband, your friend, your child. Someone you lost. Someone still fighting. Maybe yourself. Every donation had a story behind it. More than $24,000 because so many people showed up for someone they love. All of it going toward giving the next person who hears you have cancer an even better chance. And the volunteers. ❤️ I have never met a more excited, motivating, sweet and caring group of people. Every bell, every cheer, every high five kept us going. I teared up more than once. You were incredible. I know exactly how lucky I am to still be here. Today was a pretty incredible way to spend some of that time. To every single person who donated, texted, shared, walked, volunteered, cheered me on or trusted me with your own story, thank you. And to my LymphHomies...I love you. What a day. $24,000+. #14. 13.1 miles. Fuck cancer. ❤️ by @lizzydesibia
Rico and I getting ready for October. 🐈‍⬛ Nailed it. #blackcat #october by @lizzydesibia
With the Jimmy Fund Walk three weeks away, I’ve been feeling connected again to the love and community that showed up when I was diagnosed. Friends new and old, colleagues, industry acquaintances, family, people I haven’t seen in years, all showing up for my walk and for cancer research. It’s been incredible, and it’s bringing me right back to treatment. I don’t wish cancer on anyone. But I’ve always felt that cancer gave me gifts. In honor of the 13.1 miles I’m walking on October 4, here are 13 of them, plus 1. I hope one of these finds someone who needs it. Share it, send it, or save it. These gifts got me through the hardest days. I hope they can do the same for someone else. When I was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in late 2023, I made a commitment to myself to walk every day throughout treatment. That commitment was inspired in part by my sister, who had recently fought her own battle with cancer. Walking gave me something to focus on, something I could control, and a sense of accomplishment. Some days, that accomplishment was a much bigger deal than others. Today, I’m incredibly grateful to be in remission. ❤️ So this October, I’m taking those walks a little farther...13.1 miles at the Jimmy Fund Walk. I’m walking for myself. For my sister. For people I love who are facing diagnoses of their own. For every family that knows what it feels like when cancer suddenly becomes part of your life. And I’m walking for the people who haven’t heard the words “you have cancer” yet. I originally set a $5,000 fundraising goal. Before I even shared this publicly, I was completely blown away by the generosity of friends and colleagues who helped me raise more than $2,000 in just a few days. So, naturally, I decided to go bigger. 😊 I’m going after $10,000+ and the Jimmy Fund’s Five-Star Pacesetter level. This is my first time being on this side of a fundraising ask, and yes, it’s a little outside my comfort zone. But this one matters enough to me to ask. If you’d like to support my 13.1 miles and help fund the research and care that gives more people better treatments, better outcomes, and more reasons to hope, the link is in my bio. Let’s see how far we can take this. 💙💛 by @lizzydesibia

A few days I’ll be thinking about for a long time 🧡 by @lizzydesibia
There is something sacred about seeing the person you’ve admired for so long… in real life. Hearing their voice not through a speaker, but in the same room. Watching the way they think, speak, and move in real time. And then sitting next to your friend, the one you’ve shared that voice with for years. Feeling the message together. Squeezing hands. Looking at each other like, “Did you feel that?” And then making eye contact with the women around you. Circumstantial friends because you all felt it. Thank you, @emmagrede. For writing this brilliant book, and for sharing the evening with us last night. It meant a lot to us. ✨ by @lizzydesibia

R&D days at @morinscatering look a lot like this 👀 Beef tartare, smoked trout deviled eggs, pancetta-laced meatballs — all in the name of research for LCAES 2025 in Providence. Kudos to our chefs for making the “work” part taste this good 🔥 by @lizzydesibia
Honored (and humbled!) to be named one of PBN’s 40 Under Forty. Grateful for this incredible team who shows up, pushes boundaries, and believes in the vision. Wouldn’t be here without the support of those who always had my back — then and now. 🥂 Here’s to what’s next. by @lizzydesibia
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. -Maya Angelou Viva La France 🥐 by @lizzydesibia
Today marks seven months since I found out I had Lymphoma and three months since my last treatment. I’m forever grateful for the support of friends, new and old, and family near and far who showed up in a big way to help me through this journey. You all made this so much easier with your love and strength. Here’s to health and never taking a single moment for granted. 💞 by @lizzydesibia
