They told us we could be anything we’d want to be in this world.
So we chose to cat-dog. 🐈 🐕 😎

about when,🕞
where,🏞️👀🛣️

So when everything is right📋✅
and all conditions are perfect,👌🤩
Mom 👩🏻 and I 🐶are equally happy 😊
that I want to jump 🦘and run💨
like I turned 3 🐶👑🥳

… and a few souvenir pounds.🧀🍕🐾

How was I supposed to resist❌🐶😱
all that deliciousness?🤷‍♀️

I’m a Beagle,🍽️🤤
not a salad-eating tourist.🥴🥗

Because when in Rome,🏛️
you eat the whole damn pizza. 🤌🍕😂

So, I’m just going to☝️
embrace my new curves🤰🐶
and continue📋
my Italian culinary research.👌🍕🍝

I’ll take all of it, please!🍕

___________________ Public Service Announcement:📣
I have discovered what may be the greatest establishment known to dogkind. 🍺🐾
.
The humans keep talking about the craft beer…🍺
which is lovely, I suppose.🧐
I’ve sampled a few accidental floor spills🫗over the years in the name of journalism. 🍻😌
.
But let’s not lose sight 👀
of what really matters:📋
.
snacks.🧀
.
Endless, glorious snacks🌭
that somehow keep falling directly into my jurisdiction. 🍟🤤
.
Then there are the people.👥
Every single one seems legally obligated🚔
to scratch my ears,🫳👂
tell me I’m the prettiest girl in the brewery,👑🐶
and “accidentally” drop another bite. 😎
.
5/5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
.
Would I recommend this place❓
Technically yes…👍
but also absolutely not,👎
because I refuse to share my snack suppliers,👩🏻👨
scratch providers,🫳🫴
or VIP status with the rest of you dogs.🐕❌
Find your own brewery.✋
This one’s fully booked by yours truly. 😤💅🐾

___________________ A few weeks ago,🗓️
I was walking like I’d sampled🙋🏻‍♀️
every questionable cocktail🙄🍾🥃🍷🍸
at yappy hour🐩🕗
and then tried to parallel park myself.🫪🚗🐾
.
Happy to report that this week📢
I’m feeling so much better! 💕🐶
.
However,🙄
if I get a little too excited🤪🥳
and try to do things at turbo speed,🏎️🏁
I still get a bit wiggly. 😅🐾
.
My solution?☝️
Slow down🐌,
take it easy,🦥
and pretend it’s all part of my sophisticated beagle lifestyle. 🐶👑🌸
.
That means plenty of naps with Shadow.🐈‍⬛🖤
.
Daily sun-puddle baths. ☀️🐶
.
And, naturally, strawberry snacking🍓
straight from the bushes in our yard🏡
because fresh produce🫐🥭🥝
tastes better when basically self-harvested.👉👩🏻
.
Honestly, this is the life. 💖🐾

___________________ Growing old ain’t for the weak. 😮‍💨🐾
.
But I also know what a lucky beagle I am🐶🙏
to have the privilege of collecting gray whiskers,
and continuing to boss my family around. 👑
.
The last few weeks have been… 🫠
eventful, to say the least. 🙈🎢
.
A couple of weeks ago,🗓️
I suddenly lost the ability to walk 🚷
without looking like a “piss-drunk sailor on a boat”🍸🚢
(Mom’s words, not mine…). ⚓️🤪

I couldn’t walk a straight line,😵‍💫
kept tipping over,🫠
and generally looked like I’d had one too many at happy hour. 🍸🐕
.
After a late-night emergency vet visit🩺👩🏼‍⚕️
that cost everyone a lot of nerves 😬
and nearly wiped out our treat budget,💵💰
I was diagnosed with Geriatric Vestibular Disease. 🏥💸

Which is really just a fancy way of saying: “doggie vertigo.” 🌪️🐶

The treatment plan?📜
Lots and lots of rest (booooring),🛌
assisted potty breaks (humiliating),🚽👀
and full bedside meal service
(actually… let’s keep that one). 🛏️🍽️👑

Thankfully, all that TLC worked its magic,🪄🦄
and I’m feeling a whole lot less seasick these days.🤢❌
.
And what do Europeans do👥
when they need a little pick-me-up after all this stress?🤔🇪🇺

They go on vacation, of course! ✈️😎

So that’s exactly what we did.🚗👩🏻🧔🏻‍♂️🐈‍⬛🐶
We packed our bags,💼
loaded up the snack supply,🧀
and spent a few fabulous days by the ocean. 🌊☀️🐕
.
What a few weeks it’s been. 😅❤️
.
For now, we’re ready for a little normalcy,
and hopefully far fewer surprise adventures. 🤞😴🐶

we look like professionals…💪
but do we actually know where we’re going?🤔
.
😼S: I love the confidence, Dad, truly…👍❤️
but vibes aren’t GPS. 😼🗺️
.
🧔🏻‍♂️J: I’m 87% sure,👍
which is basically confidence. 😎💯
.
🐶L: 87% feels… illegal. 😱
Should we ask Mom?👩🏻📱🐾
.
😼S: Oh yes,👏
call her so she can say “I told you so”🙄😒
in Dolby surround.🙄📢
.
🧔🏻‍♂️J: Relax, guys! 🐶😽
We are not lost—we’re “exploring.” 😅🚗
Isn’t this fun?🤗🥳
.
😼S: Perfect—can we explore our way to snacks then? 😼🍗
.
🐶L: Agreed! 👍
And then we can call her after!🐾
