My favorite pumpkin season yet 🎃 by @lolkasher

Here is my “new mom” list🤍

1. Sleep is no longer a routine. It’s a luxury.
2. You can be completely exhausted and deeply happy at the same time.
3. Motherhood is the most beautiful and demanding full-time job I’ve ever had. And I’ve built businesses.
4. No amount of preparation can truly prepare you for becoming a mother.
5. My body created a human being. I owe it more gratitude and less criticism.
6. Time has a completely different meaning now. An uninterrupted shower feels like a vacation.
7. I used to measure productivity by how much I accomplished. Now, some days, keeping a tiny human happy is the accomplishment.
8. Patience isn’t something you master. It’s something you practice, especially at 3 AM.
9. I’ve studied wellness for years. But nothing has taught me more about the mind-body connection than motherhood.
10. Control is an illusion. Babies are excellent teachers of that lesson.
11. The smallest person in my life now takes up the biggest space in my heart.
12. I never imagined I could survive on so little sleep. Apparently, I can. Barely. 😅
13. Healing isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about allowing yourself to rest.
14. Becoming a mother at 40 isn’t being late. It’s arriving with a different kind of wisdom.
15. I spent years building my identity. Now I’m learning how to expand it without losing myself.
16. You can miss your old freedom and still love your new life.
17. The strongest women need support, too.
18. I’ve never been so fascinated by someone’s breathing, sleeping, and tiny facial expressions.
19. My nervous system has never been so challenged — or so motivated to find peace.
20. Love isn’t always a grand emotion. Sometimes it’s another feeding, another diaper, another sleepless night.
21. The days can feel endless, but somehow the weeks disappear.
22. I thought I understood unconditional love. Turns out, I was only beginning to.
23. I didn’t lose the woman I was. I’m becoming a version of her I haven’t met before.

Motherhood didn’t make my world smaller. It made my perspective bigger.
