That’s a wrappp St. Thomas, thank you for these few days — for letting me come back and find peace where I once left in chaos. Thank you for letting me see your light again and reminding me of the beauty that first drew me in. The last couple of years were the most beautiful, unpredictable, and transformative years of my life. You gave me my people, friends that turned into family, and taught me lessons that I will never forget. You will always be a home to me. &&& to Mich and my family and friends who never fail to remind me it will always be home — thank you for the memories, the laughter, and all the love. See ya next time. by @looking444brook
Got the chance to explore some of the galleries at Art Basel with the gals this weekend. While the art was captivating, what struck me most was seeing the variety in human response to it. Even individuals who seem so similar, could be captivated by entirely different pieces. It made me wonder why. What unseen forces or deeper emotional influences determine what we find beautiful? What sways us so powerfully to one work of art, while we could feel completely impartial to the next? Idk, food for thought. I find it fascinating that the concept of what we’re attracted to isn’t really much of a choice at all, instead just a reflection of some internalized instinct. by @looking444brook
