First test run Endorphin Speed 6!
Verdict: went out too fast and had to commit to the speed.
They pass the test for wall sits (breaks) and planks (recovery) as well.

Two things happened simultaneously in the last 6k of Sundays marathon: my ability to pick up the pace to finish strong and intense punch-like calf cramping that slide down into my feet and caused TOE CRAMPS in the last kilometre. Ever tried holding a running pace with your toes curled into a solid foot fist? Very interesting experience that I was unable to compute in the moment and that I can chuckle about now.
I ran my strongest marathon yet, but the part that stayed with me wasn’t tied to the result. There is a particular ache in knowing my dad will never see me finish a race, and that my mom, though alive, will never be there either. It is a strange quiet grief, and it makes the presence of the people who do show up feel almost monumental.
After many races done entirely on my own, having my person there is a luxury I never expected to know. Someone who understands the rhythm of race day, who appears exactly where I need them, and who gives finish line hugs that feel like a landing place. That kind of support is rare. It cracks my heart open.
I am proud of the marathon I ran, but I was fully moved knowing Todd battled through the histamines (and came out alive!) and watching Camille and Caro completely own their races. Their accomplishments made the day feel bigger than any personal best.

And Nast, your steadiness and your love are the part of this experience I treasure most. Four marathons with you waiting for me. I love you like crazy ❤️ by @loopin_lecia

A forgotten headlamp when you’re on your way to a night race. No milk at the ravito when it’s all you’ve trained with. A black sky as you summit L’Acropole des Draveurs. Sydney Sweeney trying to hold a football.

And isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?

Big weekend for a lot of the fam. A couple of podiums, some bonus kilometres, and absolutely no cell service when we needed it most. Bless you, Charlevoix.

A-races are right around the corner. Let’s rip it, WOMEN IN SPORT! (And Todd ✨)

Back in my day, photos were captured on film and you had to take that film in and wait until they were developed and they were mostly all bad and that’s the way we liked it.

No kitchen due to renos means we cannot participate in potluck season for the unforeseeable future but thank you for the invite.

Summer pulled up, I blinked and tomorrow it’s back to school.
If I didn’t have a full iCloud storage with photo evidence, I’d swear the season skipped us this year. Maybe it’s just me though. by @loopin_lecia

Getting passed by the athletes you coach as they hit podium and subsequently knock you off of it. HIGHLY recommend. FOR THE TEAM @clacroixp @marikcote ✊ by @loopin_lecia

Go to Cape Town and see if you can make it home without a fully formed relocation plan. I dare you. 🌱 by @loopin_lecia

The dunes, the quiet, the sand that gets in everywhere, hour-long sunsets, the stars. For these, Namibia, is the richest.
