LMK if you can relate to this:

This morning, I saw one of my kids struggling with a school lesson, and I immediately felt a rise of anxiety

My impulse was-

“I need to drop everything and deal with this RIGHT NOW”

Then I remembered something invaluable that mindset coaching helped me learn:

My emotion is not an emergency!!!

When I took a moment to notice the intensity of my emotions and capture my thoughts, everything downshifted (thankfully!)

If I hadn't paused and ran with the frantic flood of energy and the thoughts that came with it, the fruits of my actions would have been disastrous

Instead of regaining a clearer perspective, I would have created conflict and made things much harder for both of us

Through coaching, I'm learning where my agency is—where I actually have a choice—and where I can challenge old patterns - in my mind and my body -that aren't helpful to me or my relationships

And it's a work in progress

But here's what I love about this work-

It's completely doable and teachable

The more we understand our temperament, our patterns, our strengths, and our challenges, the more freedom we have to choose how we respond

That's self-mastery. And that leads to true freedom!!

[Self mastery is "a training in human freedom" - CCC 2339- (Catechism of the Catholic Church]

The journey of self mastery is important. It's not about becoming a different person. You can learn to work with the way God made you—AND grow in freedom, virtue, and love... ultimately, becoming more YOU

If you want to learn the skill of mastering your mind and understanding your temperament so you can make the most of your strengths, build stronger relationships, and respond with greater freedom and intention, I can show you how and walk with you

This is my personal and professional mission- for us all to live with true agency and freedom, and grow more into the beautiful people God created each of us to be

When that happens, WE ALL WIN!

God bless you!

Two altar boys. Same mistake. Two very different outcomes

Fulton Sheen loved telling this story, and it’s not really about cruets. It’s about the power of our perception, our thoughts, and our response

You’ve got people like that in your life. If you’re a parent, they’re probably your own kids

The one who’s perpetually late
The one glued to her phone
The one in a “talking back” phase

Every day, it can feel like someone is dropping the cruet—and there's another crisis

No kid feels good being the one who dropped it

But remember in those moments: it’s not a dire emergency

When we look past the emotional reaction, we discover that more is at stake than your own peace in the moment

Because our thoughts shape how we see things, and how we see things shapes how we respond. And there's always a result or fruit that follows

Respond like Bishop Spalding, and you might just end up raising the next Bishop Sheen

Maybe learning to respond differently is something you’re working on, too

That’s where Catholic Mindset Coaching comes in. We get to the root, not just put a Band-Aid on the reaction. Rooted in Christ and the truth of who He created you to be, we work toward greater self-mastery and agency over your thoughts and responses

So you can live with greater freedom and bear great fruit

Imagine - this is attainable!

What would change if you had greater freedom over your thoughts and responses?

Let’s have a conversation
I'd love to chat and hear from you!

Peace be with you ❤️

Blessed Fulton Sheen, pray for us 🙏

I'm a chocoholic. I admit it. I'm team chocolate alllll day long.

So when Juice Plus launched a strawberry protein shake mix, I was skeptical.

But the positive reviews from friends intrigued me.

I'm telling you- this shake mix is SO good and so smooth. And great to use for pink protein balls!

My family typically doesn't like my smoothie concoctions bc I don't make them taste enough like desserts to them. Lol.

But this mix changed their tune. And mine.

It's so good, even with less sugar, that making healthy taste like a treat is effortless. 🍓 Even for me! 😝😋

You gotta try this! I'm curious to hear what you think!

The answer's really simple.

What is the easiest and effective way to naturally regulate a good night's sleep, boost your mood, increase your focus and improve your brain and mental health?

You've probably heard this before.

Go outside every morning!

Ideally for about 20 minutes soon after sunrise, but start small and do it when you can.

If you're like me, I'm always changing up my routine. So I'm a work in progress with setting and re-settling into this one.

And Spring is a perfect time to restart! 🌞🌸

You're invited to commit to this small step with me.

I'm joining a group of friends for a⭐️ Mind + Body Re-set ⭐️ where all kinds of helpful tips, recipes and workouts will be shared. We're all in different starting places and seasons- and this is tailored to meet you where you're at. And it is FREE. No strings attached.

It runs May 4th- June 3rd. Come!

Reach out of you'd like a FB invitation.

The worst you can lose is all that mental and physical junk you're lugging around. Keep it if you want or join us and be part of a friendly community ❤️😃

People often ask how I have so much energy…

100% of of it is natural.

However, today I needed an extra boost.

This homemade shot is one of my little secrets.

It's ALL real food with a sprinkle of natural caffeine without the crash and burn. Especially important for people like me who are caffeine sensitive.

This concoction contains over 30 fruits, veggies and berries, pre-biotic fiber, adaptogens and nootropics.

In a nutshell- more real food and nutrients I could ever eat on a plate in one day...or a week!

How do I have so much energy?

It's the fuel! (And a good night's sleep! Which is also helped by...
you guessed it,
good nutrition!!!!)

It all adds up.

Happy to share my secrets! I've done the research and personal experimentation. Let me save your time and money!

What’s actually in my chocolate smoothie?

Chocolate protein shake powder
and
a rainbow of over 30 Fruit + Veggie + Berry blend powders + Plant Omegas
with natural fiber.

ALL that and it STILL tastes like chocolate.

Been making these smoothies for 13 years and they remain a favorite. Total nutrition easy button 🔘

This is my daily chocolate moment 🍫

How about you? Are you a chocolate or vanilla person?

Choose Joy ☕ Happy Laetare Sunday! 💜

What I find beautiful is that the joy the Church celebrates today is deeper than a positive feeling.

It is supernatural joy—a gift of grace given to those who place their hope in Christ. A joy that remains even in the midst of sorrows, challenges, uncertainty, and the trials of daily life.

This explains why we can see this in others, which seems otherworldly—the quiet joy-filled peace often found in a religious sister, a monk, or someone who lives very close to Christ. That isn’t because life is easy. It is grace.

I recently heard of a family in Lebanon who are experiencing a deep interior peace even while bombs fall nearby. Clearly their peace is not in their circumstances—it is in Christ. Their daily weapon of protection and defense is the Rosary.

At the same time, this family's relatives close by are overcome with terror and anxiety.

How can this be? It comes down to where and in whom they place their trust.

The Carmelite Saints understood this well. St Teresa of Ávila spoke of the deep joy that comes from closeness with God, and St Thérèse of Lisieux lived that joy through simple trust in the ordinary moments of life.

So the question gently comes to us:

Will we cling to Christ—or to ourselves and the shifting security of the world?

On Laetare Sunday, this time even in Lent, we rejoice—because our hope is in Christ.

Be joyful and at peace. Easter is drawing near. 🌹 Christ reigns and rules over all things 🙌

"Run your race"

A speaker shared the words she says to her son before his every track meet

Now imagine this spoken over you and I at the starting block of a new year. What is MY race? What is YOURS?

Like a track athlete, we want to see the goal, train for it, put on the mind for it, eat and sleep for it...and stay in our lane!

Personally, goal-setting was a challenge for me - especially nailing them down. So many ideas often storm my mind at once. But with practice, I'm getting better at pulling out the most important and pressing

I do not know what 2026 brings or how this race will play out, but I do know one thing: I aim to bring every bit of me to the finish with God at my side and Heaven in my sight

2026 is a race to the finals!

That is my race- to qualify for the finals and make it into the winner's circle! Through God's grace and through MANY prayers

Let's pray for each other and cheer each other on. How can I cheer and pray for you? What's your race?

Please lmk!
I'm in your corner!!!

‐---------❤️--------🙏----------🏃‍♀️----------

Do you not know that the runners in the stadium all run in the race, but only one wins the prize? Run so as to win.

Every athlete exercises discipline in every way. They do it to win a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.

Thus I do not run aimlessly; I do not fight as if I were shadowboxing.

No, I drive my body and train it, for fear that, after having preached to others, I myself should be disqualified. (1 Corinthians 24-27) by @lora.lyons

Happy feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas

I just adore her

She appeared to Juan Diego in 1537, a Chichimeca Indian and recent Christian convert as an Aztec princess

Her message to Saint Juan. Let it be imprinted on our hearts:

Mary said, “Hear and let it penetrate into your heart, my dear little son (Mijito); let nothing discourage you, nothing depress you. Let nothing alter your heart or your countenance. Am I not here, I, who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not the source of your joy? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else that you need? Do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain. Let not the illness of your uncle afflict you because he is not going to die now of what he has in himself. Be sure that he will get well.”

So many incredible miracles are connected to her image

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us 🙏
