💕 The hardest moments of the day aren’t loud.
They’re quiet… heavy… and full of second-guessing.

The moment you wonder,
“What does my child need right now?”
And, “Am I doing enough?”🥹

🫴 I share simple, screen-free activities rooted in connection, independence, and calm —
so you can stop overthinking, release the guilt, and move through the day with more ease.

This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing less, with intention.🩷

💯If you’re craving a slower rhythm, a peaceful home,
and the confidence to trust yourself as a mama —
you’re in the right place 🤍

Easter used to feel like all candy and in a rush moment… especially with a toddler 🫠

So I created simple, hands-on activities that actually help little ones understand why we celebrate ✝️

No stress. No overwhelm. Just intentional moments that fit into real mom life 🤍

If you want Easter to feel a little more peaceful (and purposeful)… this is for you

Hard toddler moment:
You just need a little space… without turning on a screen 😵‍💫

This is one of those go-to activities that actually buys you time 🤍

I set up a simple “flower soup” station using an old cutlery tray, water, and some spring flowers we found outside 🌸

That’s it.

And my toddler? Completely locked in.

Scooping, pouring, mixing… creating their own little world — while I:
☕ drank my coffee HOT
💻 got a few things done uninterrupted
😮‍💨 actually breathed for a second

No constant calls. No boredom meltdown.

And the best part?

They don’t even realize they’re learning:
✨ color matching
✨ pouring + coordination
✨ color mixing
✨ association + creativity
✨ calming sensory play

This is your reminder that:
You don’t need more toys.
You need simple setups that meet the moment 🌈

If you're new here , Hi! 🤗 My name is Lorena. I’m a stay-at-home, work-from-home mom to a busy toddler girl — and real life is exactly what led me here.

I help moms through the hard moments of the day with simple, screen-free activities that actually fit real life —
so you don’t have to think, plan, or feel guilty.

My goal is simple:
more calm, more independence for your toddler, and yes — more hot coffee moments for you ☕

You’re not behind.
You’re just doing too much alone.
Welcome 💕 by @lorena.toddlerplay

My toddler asked for bath bombs. 🛀

Old me? 🛒
Probably would’ve tossed them in the cart and called it a day.

✨ But I’m trying to raise a capable human… not a tiny customer.

So instead of “no” and instead of “okay, I’ll get it”

I said:
“Let’s learn how.” 🥰

And you should’ve seen her face 🥹

She measured.
She poured.
She mixed.
She got messy.
She felt important.
That’s the part we forget — kids don’t just want the thing.
They want to feel involved. Capable. Included.

And honestly? These are the moments that build way more than bath bombs.

They build confidence and we made sweet memories together 💖

Here’s our super simple recipe if you want to try it:

🛁 1 cup baking soda
🛁 1 cup citric acid
🛁 1 tsp water
🛁 6 tbsp oil
🛁 8 drops food coloring (or however bright your little one wants it)

Mix, press into molds, let dry.

Next time your little one says, “Mom, I want…”
Try saying, “Let’s learn how.”

You might build more than you expected. 🫶 by @lorena.toddlerplay

💞 This 5-minute upcycling craft saved my morning.

I cut old cardboard into a carrot, egg, and bunny shape, grabbed some leftover thread scraps, and let my toddler wrap away. That’s it.🤯

👇Why this works:
✔️ Builds fine motor skills (hello, pre-writing practice)
✔️ Boosts focus + hand-eye coordination
✔️ Encourages creativity without screens
✔️ Uses what you already have at home

And the best part?
It keeps little hands busy long enough for you to drink your coffee HOT.

Simple. Screen-free. Zero prep stress.
Saving this for your next “I just need a minute” moment by @lorena.toddlerplay

You know that moment.

It’s 8:12am.
Someone is crying because the toast is “broken.”
You haven’t had coffee. ↪️ You're already tired.

And the thought quietly slips in:

🥹“Why is everything so hard?”

Here’s what I need you to hear 💞 👇

It’s not that you’re doing it wrong.
It’s not that your toddler is difficult.
It’s not that you need better crafts, stricter routines, or more patience.

It’s that some moments are just neurologically heavy.

Mornings.
Dinner time.
Bedtime.

They’re full of transitions, noise, hunger, fatigue, and tiny nervous systems that don’t know how to regulate yet.

Of course it explodes.

You don’t need to do activities research

You need support for the moment you’re in.

That’s why I created a simple, no-prep guide with:

✨ 5 screen-free activities
✨ Designed specifically for the hardest daily moments
✨ That lower overwhelm (for you and your toddler)
✨ Without adding more to your mental load

Because you’re not failing.

You’re navigating hard moments with a developing human.

And that deserves support.

Rainy day activity that took me 2 minutes to set up ☔️

I printed simple shapes from mama → baby animals and had my kid place beans along the lines (no drawing!).

🖍️ You can totally draw the shapes yourself or use stickers instead — no printer needed 🙌

Cheap, easy, zero prep… and AMAZING for fine motor skills, focus, and hand-eye coordination 💛

Baking cookies with my little helper today 🥹🍪
Two super easy recipes you can make with kids!

Save this for your next cozy baking day 🤍
Full recipes below ⬇️

1️⃣ Jam Thumbprint Cookies (makes ~20 cookies)

Ingredients

8.8 oz (250 g) all-purpose flour

5.3 oz (150 g) butter, room temperature

2.8 oz (80 g) powdered sugar

1 egg

1 tbsp vanilla extract

pinch of salt

Raspberry jam

Instructions

In a bowl, mix the butter and powdered sugar with a mixer for 2–3 minutes. Start on low speed, then increase until creamy. Scrape the bowl if needed and mix again.

Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix briefly.

Gradually add the flour and salt while mixing until combined.

Refrigerate the dough for 15–20 minutes.

Form small dough balls (about 1 oz / 24–25 g each).

Press gently in the center of each ball with your finger and fill with ½ tsp jam.

2️⃣ Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies (makes ~12 cookies)

Ingredients

3.5 oz (100 g) butter

3.5 oz (100 g) sugar

1 egg

5.3 oz (150 g) flour

1 tsp baking powder

3.5 oz (100 g) chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Instructions

Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.

In a bowl, mix sugar and egg, then add the melted butter.

Add flour and baking powder and mix until combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking tray.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden on the edges. by @lorena.toddlerplay

Is it in the kitchen? yes. 🍚
Is it in the living room? yes.🌾
Did I find some in my bed last night? also yes. 😅

BUT hear me out…

This “mess” is actually doing important things 🧠✨
Sensory play = better focus, fine motor skills, creativity and (the real win) independent play.

Translation: my child plays happily while I drink my coffee before it turns into iced coffee ☕😂

🥳 Now let’s talk survival hack because I KNOW the mess is scary:

↪️ Put a bedsheet under the table before you start.

When the chaos ends → grab sheet → lift → pour rice back in the bin.
🤯 Boom. Motherhood level: expert.

Mess contained.
Kid entertained.
Mom slightly less overstimulated 🤪

Save this for the next time you feel brave enough to bring out the rice and share it with a mom friend 💕 by @lorena.toddlerplay
