I wanted my graduation video to speak on perseverance, I just didn’t expect to find it in someone else. This is a reflection of what it took to make it here. I am honored to formally introduce Demarcus James Hill, a Junior Psychology Major from New Iberia, LA and the 2024–2025 Drum Major.

I once promised myself I’d become a collegiate golfer. When the pressure got heavy, Southern gave me the space I needed. A one-year break quickly turned into three, which I thought was my excuse to quit. God kept me accountable. Thank you @southernugolf for bringing me back to the very promise I thought I had left behind. May have not had the best score out there, but the style was always up to Par 🏌🏾‍♀️🤍#hbcugolf

Traded the beaches for the bluff, and somehow still found the comfort of home. California girl who chose to embrace her southern roots. A long ride, but worth every mile. 🏁🤎

A month ago today, I crossed the stage. Today, I’m stopping to give myself my flowers. 🌹 Through it all!

Its not about how you start, but how you finish! 🐆

When I decided to step down from jukebox media I initially just wanted to experience being a real student, but God had other plans. This year I was called to lead this years football media team, and I don’t regret it for nothing! Through all the ups and downs we still prevailed. Thank you to my wonderful team, @shotsbyzell @hal0s_photography @j.3media @amare.w.photos @kaylani.kaptures @_shotbytris_ @vizon.films can’t wait to see what the future holds for you all. Thank you to Coach K for trusting and giving me this opportunity!

With that, Media Director Lo, out! 💋
