Congratulations, Florida! ☀️ Amendment 3 has passed, bringing property tax relief to qualifying homeowners.

The homestead exemption for non-school property taxes will increase to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028, with inflation adjustments afterward.

That means a larger portion of your home’s assessed value won’t be taxed—not that your entire property tax bill disappears. Actual savings will depend on your property and local tax rates, and eligibility rules apply.

As a homeowner and Realtor, I know how much the cost of ownership matters. This is welcome news for Florida homeowners! 🏡
