POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Spearheaded by @cabin____studio - @lostwines brings back wines that have been lost or abandoned, left in cellars for years, sometimes decades. The project focuses on rediscovering remarkable bottles from forgotten corners of the world , often sourced from small producers and overlooked vineyards.

Working alongside @sophieliverman , Head of Wine at Sessions Arts Club, @jonny_gent and his team partner closely with winemakers to give these overlooked bottles a new life. Each edition is hand-labelled, individually numbered, and tells the story of the grape, the land, and the people behind it.

This Rosé is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown at the Smith & Evans vineyard in Somerset, and was produced at @langhamwinery in Dorset - where it was subsequently “lost” in storage. It spent around 36 hours on the skins, was fermented in oak, and left unfiltered, resulting in a very hands-off approach. In the glass, it shows a hazy pink-orange hue, with a fresh, fleshy character and a subtle herbal note on the palate. The wine was originally commissioned by a sommelier who intended to create his own label, but he later became unreachable. As a result, the bottles were left in the cellar for years, quietly ageing until being rediscovered through the project.

LOST WINES VOL 4: ESPADEIRO 2022 (100 bottles)

In collaboration with artist and performer @yusu_suyu, @cabin____studio presents our fourth own label wine, Lost Wines: Espadeiro 2022. The @lostwines project explores forgotten bottles and overlooked grapes, vineyards, and vintages with stories worth preserving.

We visited winemaker @rodrimendezarosa in Meaño, within the region of Rías Baixas in Galicia, to discover the next release. Surrounded by small villages and terraced vines traditionally grown for domestic use, Rodrigo uncovered a neglected vineyard planted between 1900 and 1920 that had been left to grow wild.
In this forgotten wilderness came a rare mutation of the red Espadeiro grape, likely unique to this pocket of Spain and only recently identified in the region. Located near the village of Beau, the vineyard forms part of a tightly held local landscape that Rodrigo works carefully to preserve.

@sophieliverman & @milotr0n will be pouring all week…

Thank you to
